Dr. Joseph Cerjan of Yuma, AZ working at Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) is not a PPO with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBS). YRMC admitted a patient at its Emergency Room and told the patient that BCBS covered all needs. Later, Dr. Cerjan sent patient a bill for over $450 because BCBS did not pay for his services. Patient attempted to clear this matter with the Arizona Medical Board (AMB) with no luck. The AMB stated Dr. Cerjan did not do anything wrong! Of course he did! And so the YRMC. They lied. Subsequently, Dr. Cerjan referred patient to a collection agency. Patient is now paying the bill. How can a patient know if an ER medical doctor on duty is a BCBS affiliated MD? This is a scam and fraud that need to be exposed to the citizens of Yuma, AZ..

I have had this happen twice now. Once was from an ER visit, the other at the dentist's. Both times it was at the ERROR OF THE MEDICAL OFFICE NOT PROPERLY BILLING MY INSURANCE AGENCY OR ELSE EVEN GETTING THE PROPER AUTHORIZATION. And for THEIR ERROR, they referred me to a collection agency. And guess what? These two events happened when I was A MINOR. I am NOT responsible in the first place, but I am TOTALLY not liable for these debts because I was A MINOR. Any sane Judge would also make such ruling. So we just don't answer the phone anymore unless we know what it is about and who it is that's calling. They are still trying to collect these debts, more than ten years after the fact. You would think if they had anything to go on, that they would have already taken me to court. On which basis, they'd get their ass handed to them and I would be the one winding up with a good chunk of change winding up in my bank account over a decade's worth of WRONGFUL HARASSMENT. LOL!

I have had this happen to me too. Try and get facts from BCBS before initiating any medical treatment and you still won't get all the facts you need.
