Why are the college records, of a 51-year-old President of the United States, so important to keep secret?

jt 2012/08/07 02:45:11

I am President Obama’s classmate at Columbia University, Class of ’83. I am also one of the most accurate Las Vegas oddsmakers and prognosticators. Accurate enough that I was awarded my own star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars. And I smell something rotten in Denmark. Obama has a big skeleton in his closet. It’s his college records. Call it “gut instinct” but my gut is almost always right. Obama has a secret hidden at Columbia- and it’s a bad one that threatens to bring down his presidency. Gut instinct is how I’ve made my living for 29 years since graduating Columbia.

"Romney should call a press conference and issue a challenge in front of the nation. He should agree to release more of his tax returns, only if Obama unseals his college records. Simple and straight-forward. Mitt should ask “What could possibly be so embarrassing in your college records from 29 years ago, that you are afraid to let America’s voters see it? If it’s THAT bad, maybe it’s something the voters ought to see.” Suddenly the tables are turned. Now Obama is on the defensive."

I have been saying that.........not as eloquently but the same trade!

One who says Romney has something to hide with his taxes, if they are fair, Will be equally suspicious of the reasons Obama will not release his records. But of course the truth is not what they're interested in, only immediate satisfaction and gratification, like a spoiled child or drug addict where reason is not important in the decision-making process. Romney's tax returns are irrelevant when you consider what supposedly their real issue is and that's loopholes not the tax rate.

OK lets see just a few of the "FACTS" shall we??
    1. Consider the source. They have on the same page something entitled "2 Aliens at Roswell"!! Uh yea OK.
    2. On the opening line he admits to being a Libertarian aka The Opposition.
    3. If it was relevant why didnt it come out in the first election??
I am a fan of Baseball. In this case 3 strikes and your out.

You're missing the point. The first EO this president signed upon taking office was to seal his school records. That doesn't concern you? Frankly, I don't care if he flunked every class. If that's all that's in those records, who cares? He's already president. I do think there's something in there that is problematic. If there isn't, what's the problem? If it's fair to ask for Romney to release more tax records, it's certainly fair to ask the President to release his school records.

No I dont give 2 sh1ts about his College Education. What I care about is how good he is doing and if the Nation is improving under his administration. You CTers have a HUGE problem and it doesnt matter. As for Romney's tax records let me ask you this: In a Time of Financial CRISIS do you want ANYONE let alone a possible PRESIDENT TO HIDE TAXABLE INCOME from his Nation?? I know I dont. All it seems to me is money is more important than the Financial Health of his Nation.

As required by law is the famous like used by a ton of people that have stuff to hide. Its still wrong to hide money in this economy even if its legal. That is why he is hiding the FACTS. As for Obama Im not calling him God. He is a human and he has made mistakes. However as a businessman and investor I have seen the good he has done but I am not going to forget the mistakes either. You on the other hand I am absolutely sure you are a full on PARTISAN!!!

Is anyone talking about your personal life??? NO I am NOT. You and your PARTISAN BUDDIES are the reason why this Nation is in the shape its in. Great Presidents dont take the party line they take the position of what is good for America and that mean COOPERATION not gridlock.

I doubt it is bad enough to destroy his presidency. My guess is that it is something embarrassing, though maybe not.

Has every president before him released their entire college career record? I seem to recall bits of Bush's record being sealed, too.

If so, then those calling for Obama to release his are using a double standard.

Absolutely right. If Obama's college records were revealed, it would take away from his self-created image as the most intelligent person ever to hold office. Think of it - G W Bush, whom the left routinely portrayed as too stupid to tie his own shoes - revealed his college transcripts and it was discovered that his GPA was significantly higher than that of John F. Kerry. What would happen to Obama's minions (Chris Matthews, anyone) if his GPA showed he was an Ivy League slacker who had no business being in college. It would explain his mishandling of everything he has touched, his lack of any significant work experience and the reason he jumped at the chance to become an Illinois state senator - a job that barely demands a high school education. Obama is this generation's Kingfish and has successfully flim-flammed the voting public, but even he knows his days are numbered. That's why he is making statements that antagonize even his base - he wants to get out of town before he's run out on a rail by his constituents.

Its a red herring. Either you like what he has done for 4 years (I don't) or not. Are the records going to show a bright star with all As? Doubtful or they would have been released. Might the Harvard financial aid forms show he lied and claimed being foreign to get aid? Possibly. Clearly it doesn't change who he is or what he has done, but it is simply fodder for this political opponents to tear him up with and spin, so why should he put them out there? Like Romney not putting out more tax forms than is required... Why should he? I'm sure his crack team did everything legally. That is not the real issue, despite Dem opponents trying to imply that to force him to put up the tax records. Romney just knows that even though legal, he (rightfully) paid as little as he legally was required. That can easily be spun by Dems, so why give them the ammo? People start to worry more about issues and performance, instead of the peripheral nonsense.

When you pay money and do a executive order to seal records you have something to hide . It's a shame people on the left who desperately wants Romney's tax returns turns a blind eye to obummers records .

By the letter of the law,Romney has revealed all he should. Why won't Reid tell how he became a multi-millionaire AFTER being elected to the senate? If Romney had not paid his taxes wouldn't the IRS know?If the liar-in-chief has nothing to hide in his college transcripts, why hide them? Transparent as a fog-bank.
