WHY ARE SO MANY SH'S "BEGGING FOR RAVES"?

Interesting story about this question. Unfortunately, I didn't read who actually asked this question and responded to a well-written post by someone else. I said, tongue in cheek, ironically I will like your post. I said that because of the question. The person kind of jumped on me and I explained it was my mistake (it wasn't insulting to begin with). He sad he wasn't asking anything but responding to a friends question. I received this (below) and was blocked by this person:

you really are a waste of time. No I don't have to deal with it again.

A bit inappropriate, don't you think? I swear, I'm just about done with this site.

So they can have the top comment or post.

more people can see it. I don't know. That's the only rational motivation behind wanting a post to be highly "raved".

Because so many appear to have low self esteem and are begging for validation. Much the same reasons they are on twitter, facebook and other such nonsense sites; They have low self worth so need validation from others they do not know

Well, it's more "tongue in cheek", you're asking why people are trying to get the raves and then I, in fact, gave you one.

Actually I was not asking anything. I was responded to a friend's poll.

Oh, sorry, my bad. I thought I was giving a rave for someone asking why people want raves. It was just in jest.
