Why are so many on SH turning the Aurora shooting into something political?

flrdsgns 2012/07/20 17:24:06
I fail to see the political connection to what happened last night in Aurora. There are sick people everywhere, and this killing is another tragedy. My sympathies go out to those who were killed or injured and for the families and people of Aurora.
I thought Obama made a nice and caring speech, as did Romney.
Why are so many here pointing fingers at liberals, or conservatives, or the man in the moon as the cause for what happened.
You!

Because there are too many ignorant people that twist everything into a political argument.

Rush Limbaugh started the controversy by stating that the new Bat Man movie, ( The Dark night ), was an attempt to smear the Romney campain.

Rush Limbaugh is always stirring the pot, he rarely knows what he is talking about in my opinion.

There's even a used buttwipe here on SH who asks in a poll why the President addressed the nation in "written" speech on the subject. She even lets whether she's conservative or liberal determine which side of her nose to pick first.

And that is really a shame, to use this senseless tragedy as a political wedge to further divide people.

Some people are unable to discuss ANYTHING without a political slant ... whether it's "fun" or an all-out tragedy like this one. May God help us to get back to being human beings beyond politics. These families are suffering.

It just shows who is thinking about themselves being the center of the universe instead of the reality that we are all merely a part of it.

I asked the same question. I barley heard about the tragedy before I came here and saw both sides blaming the other for what happened. And of course mocking the president for his reaction to it. I don't think I will be hanging out much on here today. It is way to toxic right now.

I agree, much too toxic, plus the sun is out and it's very nice at the beach. I just came back from lunch with my son in Valencia. nearly 100 degrees. It's so nice to be back at the beach in 75 degree wonderful weather!

It seems to me that this shouldn't be made into a political issue, unless the shooter specifically says he did it for political reasons. Even then, the shooter is the one to blame, not a political party!
