Record numbers of Americans don't want to be Americans any more.

"'Truth, justice, and the American way' - it's not enough anymore," the comic book superhero said, after both the Iranian and American governments criticized him for joining a peaceful anti-government protest in Tehran.

Last year, almost 1,800 people followed Superman's lead, renouncing their U.S. citizenship or handing in their Green Cards. That's a record number since the Internal Revenue Service began publishing a list of those who renounced in 1998. It's also almost eight times more than the number of citizens who renounced in 2008, and more than the total for 2007, 2008 and 2009 combined."

I'm just going to talk about the Superman comic. That bothered me, on a few levels. It certainly shows the patriotism of the writer. Luckily, there was such an awesome backlash against the Man of Tomorrow renouncing his citizenship that DC backtracked and said it was only a "what if...?" type story and that Superman will remain "as American as apple pie."

I'd say it depends on where they're going. Find those trends to figure out why. Hopefully there is something done to turn things around for the better.

What do they get for their money? The privilege of paying among the highest tax rates in the world - for what?

Just as in England, the uniqueness, and history of the country is not taught and celebrated in the public schools, the Christian religion has been banished from the public square, public corruption has reached incredible levels, with a political elite who have completely betrayed the average American, and are determined to maintain the status quo...

There is a side of me that wants to leave our country too.. Not many people are catching on to any legislation.. and how it is supported by both Republicans and Democrats alike.. We are also polarized and taught to fear each other.. Black people vs White people.. Old vs young.. Religious vs those of us who are not.. Some of this is so obvious..like this hispanic that may have killed this black man.. It is funny though.. Most black kill each other and most whites kill other whites.. Most hispanics kill each other.. the statistics are not easily denied..All just about control..

In order to understand what is going on economically we must look back to NAFTA.. Proposed by Reagan and signed into law by president Clinton JAN 1994.. then look at by 2004 how many of our major companies left our United States.. because we no longer could tax anything that was made over seas.. so Major companies left to places like China because they could get 50 cent an hour wages.. Then look at what signed in with George Bush and now Obama.. the Patriot Act.. which took away privacy.. Now Obama has signed in to law that we can have the military function on our soil..and it just gets worse..

I plan on leaving because our two party system sucks it doesn't matter who's ahead the other side just blocks them from doing anything and when the only people running for presidency in the last decade are total morons it's easy to see why so here I come Denmark.

The most basic reason TAXES. Look the heavyweight financial sites give lists of countries that want rich people to come there and not tax them. The reason for the green card holders again is opportunities and this government is shutting down the capitalistic system. They see the handwriting on the wall.
