While everyone knows Hollywood stars and in general, most celebrities are Democrats, does anyone know why? This might shed some light on the subject when you compare the Celebrities that are Democrats and the Celebrities that are Republicans.
These Celebrities are Democrats: Woopie Goldberg (High School Drop-Out) Christina Aguilera (High School Drop-Out) Christina Applegate (High School Drop-Out) Kevin Bacon (High School Drop-Out) Roseanne Barr (High School Drop-Out) Mary J. Blige (High School Drop-Out) Pierce Brosnan (High School Drop-Out) Jim Carrey (High School Drop-Out) Cher (High School Drop-Out) Elvis Costello (High School Drop-Out) Russell Crowe (High School Drop-Out) Robert De Niro (High School Drop-Out) Johnny Depp (High School Drop-Out) Rupert Everett (High School Drop-Out) Natalie Imbruglia (High School Drop-Out) Iman (High School Drop-Out) Catherine Zeta-Jones (High School Drop-Out) Jude Law (High School Drop-Out) Jennifer Jason Leigh (High School Drop-Out) Courtney Love (High School Drop-Out) Demi Moore (High School Drop-Out) Mackenzie Phillips (High School Drop-Out) Joaquin Phoenix (High School Drop-Out) Keanu Reeves (High School Drop-Out) Charlie Sheen (High School Drop-Out) Uma Thurman (High School Drop-Out) John Travolta (High School Drop-Out) Steven Tyler (High School Drop-Out) Estella Warren (High School Drop-Out) Neil Young (High School Drop-Out)
Here are some Celebrities that are Republicans: Robert Davi (Graduated from Hofstra University) Jim Caviezel (Graduated from the University of Washington) Dean Cain (Graduated from Princeton) Brooke Shields (Graduated from Princeton) James Caan (Graduated from Hofstra University) Julie Bowen (Graduated from Brown University) Tom Selleck (Graduated from U.S.C.) Rip Torn (Graduated Texas A&M;) Sylvester Stallone (Graduated from Miami Dade College) Kevin Sorbo (Graduated from University of Minnesota) Robert Duvall (Graduated from Principia College) Patricia Heaton (B.A. The Ohio State University) Sela Ward (Graduated from the University of Alabama) Ron Silver (Graduated from St. Johns with a Masters Degree)
For the life of me, I can't tell why some Celebrities become Democrats and some others become Republicans.
I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here...
but I think if you are educated, you are a Republican and if you drop out of High School, you believe the drivel coming from the Democratic Party.
They are democrats because they make enough money to not be greedy, aren't invested in the corporate machine, and because to be a celebrity it usually means you have to be a fairly nice person and most Republicans are sort of dicks.
Thats a complete myth. It's thought to be the case because most (not all) Democrats (and many Republicans too!) in Hollywood are self aggrandizing louthmouths, but few reach the level of idiocy as Bill Maher He and Mel Gibson should fight it out to see who's the biggest idiot.
:)
Most celebrities are under fire to be involved with community and social issues as part of their status in society. Much like the wealthy elite who held social status, celebrities do this to make themselves look like they are part of a social structure we would expect them to be part of.
Most aren't leftwing but portray themselves this way. How can you tell? Simply look at them when they get caught in scandals or things like not paying their taxes when they condemn everyone else for not paying their taxes.
Look at Michael Moore, mr big wig liberal whose personal fortune is over $70 million now yet, all he ever does is demand the government get involved to help people. He went on a campaign a few years ago fighting to get the US government to buy water purification equipment that was relatively cheap... but those greedy sum bitches in Washington DC and the political right wouldn't pay for them. they cost a couple of thousand apiece but when he was asked if he had purchased any of the units, he said no because it wasn't his place to do what the government should be doing.
In other words, he's doing exactly what he accused the wealthy fat cats he's always attacking... passing the buck to have others pay the cost while they themselves won't spend a dime of their personal fortun...

People like Michael Moore make me sick. The man is extremely wealthy but wants me and you to pay for what he wants so he can claim he's Mr Caring when he could have bought enough water purification units to help all those people in South America for less than a million dollars of his own wealth... what a bloody hypocrite as while he's wasting his time trying to get you and me to pay for this... he could have already done it himself and helped tens of thousands of people who need clean drinking water.
Many celebrities are like that which is why they get involved in these social movements but give almost nothing to the cause beyond their presence.
Celebrities are Democrats because they are idiots.
They get caught in the hype, think they are special, and let's not forget... They work in a union. Many lived on government money before they made thier own through the National Endowment for the Arts. From welfare to riches.
Sean Penn, Roseanne Barr (green now) George Clooney and so many more that have no idea how much Obama is taking them for MONEY after he so often critized them as most hypocrites will do for being in the 1%er group. It appears that the above list is uneducated vs brains and it quite evident where the dems really are.
They are the center of the cult of personalities.
With liberals it's all about how you feel or how something makes you feel and not about what is logical.
Democraps and hollywood elitists are made for each other.
Probabaly because the entertainment industry is run by commies and persons of deviant behaviour now. They're afraid of being blacklisted. Just like they were in the 50's. Only it's reversed now. Joe Macarthy knew what he was talking about back then. Very Sad for our country when these "high school dropouts" help a president who wants to fundamentally change america into socialism. There "high school dropout mentallity" really shows when they talk politics. Thanks CFly Juice for this informative post. I now have more names to add to my NO WATCH, NO SUPPORT List and my WATCH, SUPPORT List.
My guess is celebrities are liberals because it's easier to say you're liberal. In order to please the other liberals that make the decisions on who gets the movie and TV roles.Too many of the top "power players" in Hollywood are hard-core liberals. And they use their positions to punish or reward those acting roles. To those who are on the proper side,or not, on the various issues!
I think it comes down to the fact they feel guilty. They really don't do anything that requires hard physical labor, they parrot other people's creative effort, and the make insanely huge amounts of money. That works on their conscience to make them think they don't deserve what they have.
I will give them credit for giving a lot to charities, but many of these charities are nothing but huge rip-offs.
This indicates they are mostly immature people who have never had any real responsibility since they have an agent to handle their business and puiblic lives and appearances. All they have to do is stand there and look pretty.

As Winston Churchill said, if you're not a liberal at 20 you have no heart, and if you're not a conservative at 40 you have no brains.
Liberals tend to place huge value on what they 'feel', like children do. Adults are able to separate feelings from facts, and act accordingly.
With liberals it's all about how you feel or how something makes you feel and not about what is logical.

I was raised in LA and I can write a book on liberal dolts in the Entertainment Industry.
Also, nice job cherry picking the ones who went to college for repubes and the democrat dropouts.
I don't care how many jobs Reagan created for Asia.
