Why are liberal democrats such a poisonous breed of politician?

I am basically and Independent, I lean toward Liberal Domestically or on Domestic issues because I want legal Americans to be able to eat and have a place to live. I don't agree with Liberals on issues involving military budgets and NASA. Federal tax is always the same since the 90s, I think the big taxes that need reducing are land taxes for people that own there own homes and capital gains. It needs to be easier to start a business as well. As far as welfare, it needs to be changed to education-fare. If you are going to school or doing something to advance yourself a legal citizen should get what he or she needs to advance ultimately forward with a ten to twelve year limit or 50% cut after that. Education is key and technology is key to ending the need for welfare. My quote as far as government is "We have the technology we can rebuild it".
The schools after 9th grade should be military schools and teenagers should have to wear uniforms to school and have to join the military for 2 years. I think this will cut teenage unemployment and crime dramatically. I think we should also consider a education system that allows sleep in schools for four days a week or for the entire time. We need to centralize education facilities, I would build massive educational University type schools for high school children that have dorms for children to live while being educated in a more advanced fashion. This option would also work for working mothers that have many children and cannot work. Military schools on a huge national level may sound extreme but we are in an extreme situation with teenage children today. Drug use is at an all time high and teenagers are simply not properly educated in the schools of today.
