Why an Income Tax is Not Necessary to Fund the U.S. Government

POODYLOU ☮ R P ☮ 2012 ☮ 2012/01/22 19:44:06

President's Private Sector Survey On Cost Control
A Report to The President (Reagan)

January 15, 1984. Available from the Congressional Research Service.
The excerpt below can be found on page 12.

  • "Importantly, any meaningful increases in taxes from personal income would have to come from lower and middle income families, as 90% of all personal taxable income is generated below the taxable income level of $35,000.

  • Further, there isn't much more that can be extracted from high income brackets. If the
Government took 100% of all taxable income beyond the $75,000 tax bracket not already taxed, it would get only $17 billion, and this confiscation, which would destroy productive enterprise, would only be sufficient to run the Government for several days.

  • Resistance to additional income taxes would be even more widespread if people were aware that:

  • With two-thirds of everyone's personal income taxes wasted or not collected, 100% of what is collected is absorbed solely by interest on the Federal Government contributions to transfer payments.

  • In other words, all individual income tax revenues are gone before one nickel is spent on the services which taxpayers expect from their government."

So what we have is a central bank issuing worthless paper "money" that controls our economy, our lives and our future. This private banking cartel was unconstitutionally granted this power by a devious, scheming group of senators back in 1913. In essence what they did was place the American people into indentured servitude by forcing The People to pay usury on worthless fiat currency (paper money created out of nothing), not to fund the government, but to enrich the bankers and fund wars in which America should never be involved. This system exists not to fund the government, but to allow the U.S. Congress carte blanche power to continue funding unconstitutional agencies and programs by providing them with a bottomless source of worthless ink.

Income Tax began in 1913 along with and because of the take-over of the so-called 'federal' reserve banking cartel (privately owned, by the way). Income Tax goes directly to it. Prior to 1913, there was absolutely no Income Tax and we were just fine! End the FED.

Most people don't get this. It can only stop when the people stand and just say NO. Stop giving them the money you work so hard to get for yourself to keep yourselves from living in the streets. Some people are aware that the federal government was only supposed to be for Defense and Infrastructure, but they have gone crazy making slaves of the people to fund whatever they want to spend on, all the while taking more and more rights away as they do. Nothing they have done is in any way Constitutional but because the people refuse to educate themselves, here we are.

Maybe one of you idiots would post some comments here and tell us how you would propose to pay for the military, the public debts, and essential services without an income tax? Ignorance is curable, stupid is not. Show us which of these affects your silly dreams of having no revenues with which to protect your sorry and ungrateful asses from enemies without and within.

Dear God, you are free to roam around, and to reproduce. You are a freeloader, a bum, living off the things the rest of us provide for you - streets, harbors, highways, hospitals, schools, first responders, fire, police, paramedics, teachers, and a thousand other things you take advantage of every day. For all of this you aren't even slightly grateful or have character enough to say "thank you". Let me guess that you "emigrated" to the U.S. recently from a South American country and
were told that all these things were "free" to you when you crossed the border?

Really? You are so nuts. None of that is provided by the federal government. That is the states. The federal government is not supposed to be in anything but defense and infrastructure but now they have taken over everything to tax the crap out of us and be in every aspect of our lives. You can have them. I do not depend on them for anything, I'm a grown up, unlike you, so I shouldn't have to pay for services I don't even want.
  • Ambassa... DeeB 2012/01/24 03:15:00 (edited)

You affirm what is obvious - you really don't know how the world around you works.
Streets - resp of local govys, but often depend on Federal grants of aid and matching funds, such as the recent "stimulus package" of the Obama Adm which provided a hundred $Billion for such projects.
Harbors - essentially all the works of the Feds, Corps of Engineers,
    etc.
Highways - all the major ones are Federal projects, ever since Ike
    began the system
Hospitals - built with Federally backed debts, paid for pretty much by
    Medicare and Medicaid funds
Schools & teachers - about one third of the funds come from Federal grants, ever hear of the much hated Dept of Education?
First responders, police, firemen, etc. - local responsibilities, depending on Federal grants for equipment, training, and a host of other supporting funds.

You make the allegation of the Feds being "in every aspect of our lives", which enforces the comments I make. Indeed, the Feds are involved in almost all that we do. Unfortunately for you, you can't
pick and choose which of the Federal programs you want to take advantage of. You are just one of 300 million living in the country. Your mama told you once that life wasn't all about you, and she was giving you goodd advice and trying to save you from a lifetime of whining and complaining about "them".

Duh, the federal government started giving money to states as a form of bribery. We'll give you this money for this if you do what we tell you. There are so many strings attached it is pathetic, and that is how they took completely over. So please, spare me the crap.

I'm just suggesting you get your head out of that dark place and see that reality is not like your dream world. It is possible to become so disassociated with reality as to become a danger to yourself or to society. Frankly, many of the RWNJs are so much disassociated from reality as to be dangers to society, willing to destroy the govy that defends and protects their sorry and ungrateful asses in pursuit of some delusion of a world that doesn't and cannot exist in this 21st Century.

I read the nonsense article, which is just a rant about waste. There is no identifiable source of revenues with which to operate the largest economy
and military regime in the world or protect it from intrusions by it's enemies,
or to operate the FAA, FDA, EPA,USMC, and a thousand other essential
    services.

Proper, constitutional funding will allow large amounts of money to fund a limited form of Republican government. To continue on the path of this massive and unconstitutional spending will bring a final and total collapse of the economy. Make no mistake about it.

"Constitutional funding"? Are you referring to a "Whiskey Tax" or an "Excise Tax" on exported cotton and tobacco? Those were about
the extent of the intents of "the Founders" that RWNJs so often refer
to. Now, in 2012, we export little cotton, whiskey, or tobacco. What to
do? What to do? Disband the military, as it was forbidden by the "Constitution", permit slavery again to lower the costs of manufacturing, and all will be well. If we install sails on our ships we
won't even need petroleum. Yessir, just get on back to 1760 and
    we will all be fine.

I strongly urge you to take your case to Speaker Boehner and Senator
McConnell, who will surely want to work with you to disband the tax system, starting at the highest income levels and working downward.
Do contact them right away and let us know here on SH when we can
review the bills they will draft to accomplish your plans.

It is called "Reaganomics" and "supply side economics", sometimes called "Vodoo economics". It is the carefully constructed plans to move all the wealth of the nation,
perhaps the world, into the hands of a few Reagan Banks and Wall Street brokerages.
It has worked very well so far, for more than thirty years. Only a little more to do and it
    will be complete.
