It was simply his negativity toward the federal workforce. Like his statement: I'd make MLK birthday a holiday if I didn't have to give it to the Federal workforce. He had hired W.R. Grace company to investigate the workforce, and the result was negative. Two years later that company was sued for poluting.

How pathetic. Without the work of civil service employees, we would have no national infrastructure.

Reagan was a bad joke. He began the process that has led to the ruin of the American middle class. He allowed American corporations to ship all of the good, high-skilled, high-paid jobs to China (hell, he's more responsible for making China the economic giant it is today than any other single person).

I'm amazed. For a bunch of so-called, liberal media-hating conservatives, you people sure have swallowed the mythology that same media has conjured up for "the Great Communicator."

Reagan was likable, even if you didn't care for him, you still probably liked him. Some of his policies helped in the short run but harmed the country in the long term.

Obama comes off as a cold sort of person. On a personal level he seems okay and I liked him at first. His support of 'Police State' style policies and tactics I DO NOT like at all. I am not against the health care thing, I am against being FORCED into having health care. I have been against the NDAA, SOPA, and other legislation that aims to take rights and freedoms away from the people.

So, I guess I would actually have to go with ol Ronnie on this one. If the Big O would stand up for freedoms more, I would have picked him but to me, he's proven to be part of the BS rather than someone who stands up against it.

No, I am against this year's NDAA, the one that gives the military the right to arrest US citizens on their own property and to hold the indefinetly. I know that they've been going back and forth, fighting it.

Ronald wasnt a Bush fan. He readily bashed him for Bush's globalist connections, but to be the nominee, Reagan was forced to make a deal with the devil and take on Bush as a running mate.

NDAA from 2011 was different from the NDAA of 1986 or 1987. NDAA normally is just an authorization, but in 2011 they added clauses violating Posse Comitatus, violating American's 4th Amendment right to due process, and clauses for allowing bestiality in the military.

People who think Reagan was even close are ignorant of what his record was. He raised taxes 10 times he made so bad on the poor and started the takeover of our nation by corporations. He also had the largest deficit next to "W" . Obama has the lowest and has lowered taxes on the poor and middle class. He wants to raise them on the wealthy but no where near as high as Reagan had them when he was in office. The hype around Reagan is unfounded by the facts. He was an actor who acted like a president.

Reagan barely increased the debt by a few billion in 8 years while Obama increased it by 5 trillion in 3 years. You are the one without facts.
