Who would you prefer for POTUS? A collectivist or a free will person?

Tasine 2012/06/25 13:32:53
Collectivist - they collect the money at the point of a gun and that's good.
A free will person who will defund all unnecessary and unconstitutional items from the federal budget, and who will honor citizens' rights without question..

So many voters place great value on certain issues, and I think that gets muddled - because the candidate will be for certain issues and against certain issues.

I believe individual issues are less important for the long haul than are principles. I have evolved from voting issues/parties to voting principles. All of us have principles for living and some of those principles are more important than others.

My primary rule for living and for voting is FREEDOM. By that I mean these things:
1. The freedom to keep what is mine.
2. The freedom to do with mine what I choose as long as it harms no one else.
3. The freedom to go anywhere I want as long as I can pay for it and as long as I am no threat to anyone.
4. The freedom to speak up about any and everything without fear of incarceration.
5. The freedom to worship or not to worship as I see fit.
6. The freedom to send my children to school or NOT to send them to school.
7. The freedom t o put into my mouth any substance I choose with the understanding no one else has to pay monetarily for my indiscretion.

The biggest threat to my freedoms at this point is the confiscation of any part of my limited income the government chooses to take at the point of a gun. Ergo, NO ONE who touts big government or higher taxes will EVER get my vote, even if I love everything else he represents. The ONLY people who can deny me any of these freedoms is a repressive government, and all governments who have grown large have also grown repressive - it's the nature of the beast, and will always be so. No one can possibly be in favor of a big government UNLESS he anticipates using others' money to have things go his way, and that way will ALWAYS be against my way because it is the use of force, and free people should despise force. And they should despise a government who uses force on its people.

That's my rant for the day. Have a good one!! I intend to!

Some historians are teaching that history began some 10,000 years ago. Humans existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunter/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the winter and would go to the coast to live on fish and lobster in the summer.

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundations of modern civilization, and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups: Liberals & Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain, and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early human ancestors were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as "the Conservative movement."

Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting, learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the sewing, fetching and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the liberal movem...

Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy and group hugs, and the concept of democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.

Over the years, conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.

Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare. Most liberal women have higher testosterone levels than their liberal men.

Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, Hollywood actors and group therapists, are liberals. Liberals don't like the designated hitter rule because it isn't "fair" to have to pitch to good hitters without having a break every ninth batter.

Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, soldiers, athletes, and generally, anyone who works productively. Many conservatives own companies and hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to "govern" the producers and decide what to do with the production! Liberals are against corporations and free enterprise. Liberals want to distribute all wealth so that everyone is equal.

Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. Most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America. They crept in later after the Wild West was tame and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.

Liberals believe that it is offensive to mention "God" in public. They want to keep all poor people continually dependent on government welfare programs.

Ron Paul is the clear choice for those who can think clearly. I find it sad that the Democrats still supporting Obama can't see that Ron Paul would actually do what Obama promised - at least, the constitutional things.

Freedom comes from trust in our creater. Slavery come from trust in man or government. Our welfare state was setup to create depentancy on the government, and is idol worship.

Liberty is overrated. In some areas we need some serious fascism rather than an interpretation of rights that becomes a suicide pact.

If you think liberty is overrated, stick around - we lose more of it every day that passes. Soon enough you can experience that wonderful world of COMPLETE CONTROL. I suspect you envision being on the dominating side.
