In my opinion the candidate that would make the most sense and bring the most to a Romney administration would be Jon Huntsman. Unfortunately the RWNJ's of the Republican party that already have a problem with Romney being a Mormon would got bananas if another Mormon was on the ticket. Rob Portman of Ohio would be my second choice.

I would like to see Mitch Daniels or Paul Ryan, real fiscal conservatives. But I think this little drama today was designed to stampede Romney into picking Rubio to get Latino votes. That makes me think they either have something on him or intend to frame him in an unflattering way just like they did with Palin.
