It seems a little archaic to even hypothetically analyze which presidential candidate would win in a fist fight, but Esquire magazine and Yahoo! dared to ask the question. The winner? Barack Obama.

According to the poll, 58 percent of respondents voted for Obama, while 22 percent chose Romney and 20 percent had "no opinion." Naturally, we're taking this question to SodaHeads. Try to keep your political beliefs aside and think purely in the physical sense. It'll be a nice break from all the election rhetoric, we promise.

POLITICO.COM reports:
President Barack Obama and GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney have been throwing political punches for months now. But who do Americans think would win in an actual brawl? A poll released Thursday by Esquire magazine and Yahoo! found that 58 percent of respondents think Obama would beat Romney in a fistfight, compared with 22 percent who chose Romney...

Romney will work. He has been known to roll up his sleeves and get dirty. He is also a distance runner. Obama has shot a few hoops and plays golf.

    What has he accomplished?

Yes, Obama did the best he could, but it fell far short of what was needed.

Uhm what exactly has he not even tried to accomplish that was much needed?

    Is this a real question?

These were 2 promises he made.
    - End partisanship and bring the nation together.
    - Improve the standing of the US in the eyes of the world, especially the Islamic world.

He accomplished obamacare over the objections of 70% if the American people. He had to bribe 5 Democrat Senators to get it done.
  • Patricia Red Branch 2012/09/18 02:49:00
    Patricia
Uhm, the nation would be together if the republicans would stop being so hateful. And he has improved the standing, he's withdrawn troops and is trying to withdraw more. You should blame Bush for they not Obama. He did not bribe anyone where do you get your pathetic information?

    The Louisiana Purchase.
    The Cornhusker Kickback.
    Harry Reid got something
    Kerry got something,
and one other that I forget right now.

No, they did not get cash payments, but they did get special stimulus going into their state so they would support obamacare.

Our embassies have never been under attack like this before.

And they wouldn't be under attack at all if it wasn't for Bush who started it.

Have you ever listened to any real news? Even your liberal stations talked about the "bribes." And if you need real proof, go to Thomas.gov and go back and read the floor transcripts - if Obama hasn't had them taken down.

Give me 10 good reasons why anyone should vote again for BO...I have asked so many people from all walks of life and get nothing in return...and I don't want personal reasons...This is off-topic, but why is MO's mother (who is healthy and "not poor") living in OUR White House?????/ I have to say that it really irritates me....

It's their white house now, and they can put whoever the hell they want to of their family in it... Don't be pathetic. Oh, and here are just a few reasons as to why I am and everyone else should vote for Obama: He passed the health care reform, passed the stimulus, passed the wall street reform, ended the war in Iraq, is in the process of ending the war in Afghanistan, eliminated Osama bin Laden, turned around the U.S. Auto industry, recapitalized banks, repealed "Don't Ask Don't Tell", toppled Moammar Gaddafi, told Mubarak to go, Reversed Bush Torture Policies, improved America's image abroad, kicked banks out of the Federal Student Loan Program and expanded pell grant spending, created Race to the Top, boosted fuel efficiency standards, coordinated an international response to the financial crisis, passed Mini Stimuli, began Asia "Pivot", increased support for veterans, tightened sanctions on Iran, created conditions to begin closing dirtiest power plants, passed credit card reforms, eliminated Catch-22 in Pay Equality Laws, improved the Food Safety System, achieved new START Treaty, expanded National Service.......need more? I know some more if you want!

    Liar...get your facts straight.
"Last week, a Washington Post story about presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney hit the front page and set off a firestorm. According to the story, nearly 50 years ago Mitt Romney and several of his friends bullied a classmate of theirs to the ground. While the young man was restrained, Romney cut off some of his long blond locks. It was also alleged that this young victim might have had ‘gay tendencies.’

In an attempt to diffuse the situation, Romney apologized for anything he may have done in his high school years that offended or hurt anyone. Romney said that while he didn't remember this specific incident, he did a lot of stupid things in his youth, and was sorry if he caused anyone pain. He also made sure to point out that one's sexual preference was never on his mind when it came to the pranks he pulled. That should have been the end of it, especially considering this all supposedly happened nearly 50 years ago.

For liberals hoping to derail the Romney’s rise in the polls, it was almost too perfect. A story about the presumed GOP nominee having bullied someone who may have been gay comes out the day after President Obama came out in personal support of gay marriage.

However, unfortunately for those ready to start putting nails in Romney’s coffin, there are several things that warrant a further look.
The timing of this article is a little too perfect. The day after Obama comes out in personal support of gay marriage, a story that by all accounts appears tailor made to make his primary opponent look like a gay-hating bully hits the newsstands. Are we really supposed to believe this story was finished the day before it hit newsstands? Please.

One possibility is that the White House could be directly correlating with their friends in the liberal media. Others will say that there are simply plenty of liberal journalists out there who have a cache of anti-Romney stories ready to go for any occasion. They waited for an opportunity and attempted to nail him to the wall. What a better way to try and knock Romney down after Obama makes history?

A second thing to take a look at is the facts in the story. Almost every fact about the story has come into question. The family members of the alleged victim, John Lauber, said that the accounts on Romney’s prank are ‘factually incorrect,’ and that the story appeared to be politically motivated. Both of Laubers' sisters failed to recall hearing about the incident.

If that were not enough, the star source for the Washington Post piece later said that he was actually not present at the time that prank occurred. Oops!

So Romney was a prankster in high school, 50 years ago. Here’s a news flash: Everyone does dumb things in high school. If we as a country are going to go this deep into every single mistake everyone has every done in their lives, then we might as well admit that no one is eligible to ever run for president ever again."
Almost beat a guy to death???Stretch it much, honey? How does it feel to be such a disgusting 2-faced liar?
And add to the fact, that the "GUY" you're talking about's family...SAYS IT NEVER HAPPENED AT ALL!!!

He was 18 years old. He was an adult. And just because his family denies it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Especially when Romney admitted he did it... I don't believe his apology. Oh, and the only reason they did it was because the guy dyed his hair and they thought he was gay. So..

He didn't admit it....he said "IF IT HAPPENED,I"M SORRY."It happened 50 years ago...you said "that's weird because he almost beat a guy to death with his friends in college (as an adult) because he thought the guy was gay."
Big damned difference between "beating a guy to death" and the cutting of hair, don't you think?
But that's how you liberals lie & twist the facts...his family said IT DIDN"T HAPPEN!
  • Patricia Gooky 2012/09/17 22:43:57

The fact that he didn't deny it is pretty much proof enough that he did it. And no they beat him up and violently cut off his hair. It was not some innocent little hair salon party. It's a terrible thing that needs to be take into consideration. If you don't believe me, here's proof that the guy was in fact gay, and that he was in fact beaten: http://crooksandliars.com/dia...
