Question US

Who would handle 9/11 better today: Obama or McCain?

SodaHead Headlines September 09, 2008 20:55:22

How the leader of a country handles a critical situation is a great sign of their leadership skills. On September 11th, 2001, when the World Trade Center was attacked, the president of the United States, George W. Bush began his 20 minute photo-op with a class of second graders. By this time, everyone was well aware of the vicious attacks, soon to leave 1,300 children as orphans.

So, with John McCain's numerous years of experience as US Senator, and Barack Obama's drive to improve America, who would better handle 9/11 today?

I want someone to lead who has experience leading!...not someone with experience playing political games. Obama's resume is very short on experience. Hillary Clinton should be representing the Democratic Party in this election. How did Barak Obama ever get on this ticket for President??? VP maybe...but NOT President! McCain & Palin will serve this country well. They at least have a proven track record. Perhaps Hillary will run again in 2012.

Hands down. He's got experience, time in the military, been a POW, he loves our country, did I say experience? His wife has done great things for kids around the world, and she did it BEFORE he ran for president.

With Eric Shinseki on boad who originally said we should've gone into Iraq with everything but thekitchen sink, bet this war w/b over by now and we would not be billions of $$$ in debt and HOW many lives lost because of this debacle. I personally don't think Obama is not going to take any s--t from anybody as he'll attempt diplomacy first but if these dudes don't cooperate, he'll let em have it!!!!! Just my observation from how I've seen him handle the debates and his Cabinet choices, I feel pretty comfortable with him at the helm. Go Barack!!!!!

I believe that of the two, President and Vice-President, at least one of them should have to have military experience and whichever of the two has it, that person should be Commander-in-Chief. I think the President can be briefed out the wazoo, but unless he's had his wazoo in combat, he can't really fully appreciate the intelligence or understand the situations into which he might be forced to place our troops. I've always thought that it's a flaw in our democracy that we allow someone with zero military experience to be Commander-in-Chief of our military. That's not an anti-Obama statement, either, just the opinion of a Marine wife.

Actually, I wish the media had DONE ITS journalistic JOB ...and held Romney's feet to the fire!
Romney's subterfuge stole the Republican Primary nomination from Mike Huckabee when
Mitt knowingly stayed in through Super Tuesday -- to leech Primary votes from Huckabee...
Then he "gave" all of his support to the "nearly last place" McCain! Guess what - McCain lost.
So did American journalism. Where was the media? In bed with the Democrat agenda (as always).

We INVADED Iraq. Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11 and neither does Osama bin Laden. Hate to tell you all but it was our own government that not only created but had planned it for a long time. Mccain is more of the same bush terrorist crap, like we honestly need that. Let's not even mention the uneducated, ignorant woman that would of been vp. Ugh the thought still makes me shudder. Obama is the better choice, he's for the people not big business. The Democrats are the party that says the government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass from your lawn. The Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work, and then they get elected and prove it.

This isn't a game as you will find out. It's the future of our country as Barack H Obama takes away one freedom after another and puts the country into debt for the next 3 or 4 generations, devalues the dollar and turns the country into a Socialist country. You're an idiot! Try thinking on your own for a change and do some checking on your candidate before blindly casting a vote just because you're mad at the last guy. Sure Bush screwed up but that's no reason to become a socialist country.
