Who will do better in the debates Romney/Obama?

It has been widely reported that most people still blame Bush for the the economy but you can be sure Romney will hit on this issue. Congress has the lowest favorable rating in history and the House has blocked every jobs bill Obama put forth Obama needs to be careful to not sound like he blames others, even if it may be true. Obama will defend his job creation record and other areas that have helped the poor and middle class. Romney will lose because his flip flops will become center stage and he will look untrustworthy trying to explain this. Romney gets uptight and stiff when challenged. Remember FL primaries with Newt, Romney got spanked.

Obama is a good debater. He will win because he has a good grasp of foreign policy and without the obstruction of Congress, can improve the economy. He gets praise for his good relationship with foreign leaders. Most important, he doesn't embarrass us by saying something demeaning about another culture.

President Obama would win hands down! Romney can't seem to keep his butt out of his month.

He's a good debater. He won in 08. Romney lacks personality and is just blah. Listen to his speeches. Not impressive at all.

Romney I admit does fall short sometimes, I remember when he was in debate with McCain, but I think he may rise to the occasion plus he smells blood so he may go in for the kill with the economy and unemployment.

I mean even you and I would be able to corner Obama on the economy in debate, more so you. I get nervous speaking in front of people which is why I did not make it as an actor.

I still watch the JFK vs Nixon debate, I was not born at the time of the election but viewing it on channel 13 many years ago, fascinated me, it showed me how they package politicians years back. The people that advised Kennedy were better at marketing a person then the Nixon group. They made sure Kennedy got a tan and also shot him up with steroids so he would have a more youthful stronger appearance then Nixon. Nixon appeared frail and unsure when he spoke, Kennedy appeared comfortable and confident. It was a great debate, but if you listened to what they said and did not pay attention to the way they looked, Nixon had a better understanding of the world, probably because he was vice President. It was a great debate.

Kennedy was a dedicated outdoors man, and where did you get the steroids info? When Nixon did ascend to the presidency he was still forced to resign because he lacked honesty and integrity. The words, "I am not a crook" dribbled from his mouth.

He took steroids that is a fact, he had to for his Addison s disease.

I take them too. but sadly (for me) that doesn't do anything for a youthful appearance, on the contrary they make you appear bloated and sort of pie faced.

I don't think there will ever be anyone that comes close to Kennedy. Even with his accent, he was great. LOL

He was one of the greats, I am a big World War II buff, so Roosevelt is my favorite. John Kennedy was a great man, his brother Robert would've been a great president as well, both had brains and heart.

I think Robert was my favorite. He seemed so down to earth and really caring. He would have been a grreat president.

Robert Kennedy was one of the first Attorney generals to go after the mafia and the unions, he was not afraid of anyone. The head of the FBI was even scared of the mafia in those days. He would have been an amazing president. Instead we got Nixon who actually was pretty liberal for a Republican, it was Nixon that started rent control. Robert Kennedy was for the poor in a big way, he would go all over and talk to people. Bullets robbed this country of two great men. This country did not get a good president for a long time after. Ford was a lame duck and Carter was worse. Reagan was a good president and then came Clinton whom I really liked a lot. Its funny, I was a media salesmen back in the 90s, one night I was in the Knickerbocker bar in the Manhattan/The village and Clinton was on TV talking about how he never touched Monica L. So I said if the press was as aggressive during JFK this would have been laughable, and sitting right next to me was a relative of Jackie Kennedy named David and we started talking and he turned out to be a real cool person, It was a great time.

I agree, Robert would have made a great president. I went to school with Sirhan. He was strange in high school. After I married, I lived down the street from him and his family, in Pasadena. It was all so surreal when I saw on the news of Robert being shot and who shot him.

He was a mental case, I wish they hung him. He made all those children orphans. What ridiculous excuse did he give anyway, shame on the CIA for allowing both assassinations, they really did not have a clue in those days how do protect a president. God be with both JFK and RFK.

There is a moderator who asks questions. The debates are 90 minutes long, there is NOT that much 'rising to the occasion' in Mitten's world.

I voted for Obama and he gave NASA to the Russians and refuses to but anti ballistic missiles in Poland and the Czech Republic, if that is not appeasement and a repeat of Chamberlain with Hitler, which leaded to WW II, I don't what is. Obama wants to be buddy buddy with Putin in exchange for the safety of 310 million American citizens.

Romney will win the debates because Obama cannot stand on his record. Obama gets flustered and talks in circles to waste time. Look at him at any Press Conference (speaking of which, he barely holds any). The Obama camp is nervous. Democratic strategist Carville had this to say today about the election: Carville: 'We're Gonna Have to Go Through Hell and High-Water to Win this Damn Thing'...

He has a record and its bad, so I see him getting hurt with that in the debates, but remember one thing, he is at the wheel, meaning he is president and that can cause problems in debate.

He was a governor, so I am sure he has had to debate. Obama remember is the president so he has the inside scoop and sometimes this can cause a problem in debate.

Its going to be an interesting debate, I think your right, Obama is a good debater but he will have a hard time when it comes to the economy. It will be hard for Obama to escape the reality of 15 million people out of work and 10 million more underemployed. America has a lot of talent and they are getting paid like they work in McDonald's, this has to stop.
