We hear many things about MLK, he was hated and loved. President John F. Kennedy and his brother Bobby thought king was a communist. As head of the DOJ Bobby even had his phones taped.
J. Edgar Hoover, who trusted no one, had King under servalance and also believed King was a communist.
In many homes people were torn between King being a trouble maker or an honest Minister wanting good things for his people.

+1A man who fought relentlessly against the triplets of evil: racism, militarism and economic materialism. He fought to end the system of overt oppression in the south and softer racism and impoverishment of blacks in Northern cities. He viscerally opposed the war against in Vietnam while beating the drums of war against poverty. Any attempt to say he was a civil rights leader without mentioning his use of direct action and protest for justice, pacifism, and economic egalitarianism is a white-washing of history. http://www.youtube.com/watch?...reply -
