Who Was Funnier at the White House Correspondents' Dinner: Obama or Jimmy Kimmel?

Jimmy Kimmel was supposed to be the White House Correspondents' Dinner's headlining comedian, but he had some unlikely competition in the President. Obama's speech was peppered with timely jokes, including a fake campaign ad poking fun at the media dogfight surrounding the candidates' canine companions, and a clever off-stage closer where he pretended not to know his microphone was still on and asked why he was "opening for Jimmy Kimmel and telling knock-knock jokes to Kim Kardashian."

Kimmel also took shots at Kim Kardashian, but his best material was political. He went after Romney ("I don't think of Etch-a-Sketch. I think of Twister: One foot on red, one on blue and both hands on green"), Ron Paul ("Paul looks like the guy who gets unhooded at the end of every 'Scooby Doo' episode") and of course, Obama ("Remember when the country rallied around you in the hopes of a better tomorrow? That was hilarious. That was your best one yet.") Who do you think stole the show?

For a politican, Obama actually has good timing when doing jokes. Kimmel was rushing through many of his lines, wasn't funny with 80% of them for some suppose to be "professional" comedian.

I really wish I could say neither. You know that you're in full-on brainwash election season when you get the celebrities involved. I'm not sure which I can't stand more: The politicians trying to brainwash us, or the sheep that eat this stuff up.

Obama referring to the party as GSA, winking when he said he was born in Hawaii and telling you if you need guns Holder will get them for you. He's making light of all the scandals during his tenure. He's rubbing the peoples face in it. How could anyone vote for this empty suit?

It's cool you go on and on about how bad Obama is.. Yet no matter how bad you think he is, anyone with a brain would be able to tell you he's still the best out of what you guys have to pick from.

they were both hilarious but the President sense of humor and perfect timing delivering a punch line plus the fact that he is not a comedian would give him the edge, the presidents popularity will be one of the reasons that he will win by a landslide though not the most important one.
The most important reason that he will win will be that the need our Nation has for his leadership for 4 more years. The majority of the American People want our Country back from the grasp of the 1%... we are tired of giving them the welfare for the rich Bush tax cut subsidy.

Obama did deliver it well though, at some point it was in poor taste. Some funny, some not funny. Fallon is an actor/comedian, we're suppose to trust Obama but some of what he does leaves me questioning more and more. Also Obama is starting to look and sound tired. So the question is also, is presidency good for his health? I mean bush was more lively.

Maybe in your perspective, he looks sharp and ready to kick GOP butt to the majority of the American People. His record which has been hidden by the conservative controlled media to its audience will make him win by a landslide, that is not an issue, the issue is to make sure we clean up the 2010 buyers remorse by getting rid of as much tea party scum as possible from Congress.

The sad thing.. All he has is humor.

Still caught up on the Bush stuff huh? Is this really to friggin hard for you Libs to understand. Stop spending money... 5 freaking trillion more in 3 years.... how do you not understand that...

You are right about one thing. People want their country back. We want to continue being the US not slowing morphing into the USSR. I don't think Romney can do it... but you know what? At least he will stop the gusher of a wound that Obama opened up.

The President is all business though conservative controlled media minions may not know it... ask Bin Laden, the DADT crowd, the many children that can no longer be turned down for health coverage for pre-existing conditions, or the women that now pay the same rate as men for health coverage and of course the Lilli Ledbetter act that gave them equal pay, so much that the conservative controlled media keeps from you people, no matter you are a small fraction and though fully controlled and you people will do the conservative controlled media's bidding, the majority of the American People will never ever allow the 1% to rule our Country again.

I thought Bin Laden was having a beer with Elvis and Hitler? I think the picture showed Obama looking at his Blackberry the whole time. I bet he was waiting for his court time. He looks like he was photoshopped in. He can also thank the Bush admin for all the intel gathered.

    Yawn... Yawn... Yawn....

My wife always made more than me.

I don't want the 1% to rule the country. That 1% is full of Liberal Wankers..

You all are just a bunch of sheep. DADT did not bother me either way. It was a joke. This whole Presidency has been a farce.

The supreme court will vote down HCR. It is unconstiutional for the government to force people to buy something. Without it.. it can't survive. He shoudl have made it a tax... stupid stupid stupid.

Conservative controlled media? Man you got to stop going to the Make Pot Legal function. I think youre permaneantly stoned.

Perhaps if the US didn't spend an absurdly high amount on military, the debt wouldn't be so bad.
Perhaps if the rich stopped bitching about every little tax they seem to hate so much, sucked it up, and did their duty for their country, the debt wouldn't be so bad.

But the moment either of those things happens, people will whine about safety, and tax burden, and defenses, and having to pay to help the country they call home with their easily-earned millions boohoo!

Bah! You know you are right in a way but I doubt you even know it.

As a conservative.. I am for a 40% cut across the board.. Everything in government slashed 40%. The amount that federal employee wages grew is freaking crazy..

The 40% is just a figure... Insert whatever figure will work.

    Oh, please.
That Marxist stuff is really old.
We didn't win the cold war thirty years ago so that you could recycle that garbage now.
If you envy the successful, I've got a suggestion for you, get off the computer and start doing something to earn your money.
Whining about other people's success is really pathetic . . . and about as unAmerican as you can get . . .
And you call yourself gr8American? . . . LOL. Yeh, right.

"Four more years" . . . of what? Joblessness?
    Get a clue.
And if you're getting paid by the Obama campaign for spreading your Marxist message, I hope it is with his campaign money instead of my tax dollars.
