I'm from Massachusetts and our Governor is Deval Patrick. He's in his second term now and he's been a good governor so far.

But let me tell you about our former governor Mitt Romney.....

During his campaign for governor, he promised to lower our taxes. He lowered them all right but only for his wealthy buddies. Then he imposed all kinds of new fees and raised existing fees to cover the shortage left by the tax cuts for the wealthy.

He promised he'd be a job creator....Mass dropped from 37th to 47th in job creation during his tenure.

He promised to reduce our deficit and instead added over one billion dollars to our existing deficit.

The only good thing he did was to create "RomneyCare" our state's universal coverage plan. Everyone can be covered and so far it's working well and people here like it. Unfortunately, it's the one thing he cannot take credit for since it would be taken as an endorsement of Obamacare and he couldn't do that because the far right GOP is against it. If he was honest, he would say, you know what, Obamacare is a great program very much like what I instituted in MASS and I support it fully. But he is too much of "company man" to go against his party even for something that's been proven to be a success. Makes you wonder whose side he's on. Certainly not ours.

Chris Gregoire....she's not even a good governor. And she had to cheat to even get elected. She had about 4 recounts done until she ended up with enough votes to win.

Nathan Deal did vote against obamacare b4 coming back to destroy GA at the State level.

First he made the mistake of accepting money from the Feds to use an existing HOV lane and make it toll, now he put his signature on TSPLOST which, if passed, will not help our commute times in the state and take $8 billion of our money over the next 10 years all for the purpose of making the tax permanent.

I have already decided I will not vote for him again. He is a true RINO, ready to steal from the folks in a heartbeat.

Me either Joan. If TSPLOST passes it is going to be a horrible day for Georgia!

Do you know about this - http://www.traffictruth.net/

They are holding a protest "drive" on the 21st (I think). They want everyone to meet, and drive the speed limit around 285 in the center lane, with their headlights on to protest this horrible TSPLOST!

Inform your friends of the website! We have to vote down this horrible tax! It is just a Marta funding referendum is all it is. Gas prices go up and people are still not riding Marta!

Here in Florida our voters figured it would be best to vote in a confirmed thief. In fact, he stole more taxpayer money through Medicare fraud than any other person in history..., Over two Billion dollars of it!!!

Sure, the FoxNews brainwashed minions down here preferred that known criminal to the Democrat. Lets just keep voting in criminals guys, because some blowhards on the air tell you that all liberals are scum!

A lot of state officials who pontificated at the various stimulus packages coming to their state and ran against them, are all too happy at the ribbon cutting ceremonies. More than a little hypocritical, ya think?

The smart ones ran from the trap the Impostor In Chief was laying for them and sent it back. The full intent was to enslave the states to the Federal Government, not give the states aid.

The informed ones can see through the Impostor's tricks and know what he is attempting to do has NOTHING to do with the fig leaf he is laying out.

Yep, I recall in the very recent past, governor's like Kasich was one of those so "smart" that when his State was hit hard by a natural disaster that he huffed and puffed how Ohio would "solve their own problems" but it wasn't long before he had his hat in hand needing federal assistance. I believe parts of the state was drowning or some such thing.

TPM - what in the hell is that?

Anyway, the point is that the Feds should not be offering the states $$ in the first place. What is the reasoning behind that?

You asked for a link to show what republican governors had taken any federal money and I merely gave you exactly what you were asking.

It might depend if you lost your home to a flood or fire and the state being cash strapped where you live had absolutely no funds to assist you in your devastated neighborhoods. Its always easy to sit back and quarterback about the nast feds until you need them.

If someone owed you money, went bankrupt, you went to collect what you could from the debt they owe you and the government said, "No....sorry Pal, you do not get anything we are going to give the assets to the union", how would you feel? If you then pointed out that is the way the law has worked for over 600 years and some Dictator told you to get lost, then what?

Amazing what happens when you finally realize how horrible your liberal beliefs are, isn't it? When it does bite your ass, you'll finally change, but guess what...it'll be too damn late to matter.

Good luck when the Government Bureaucrat tells your loved one they can't have health care because THEY decided you (or your loved one) gets rationed out.

You've got 117 days to wake up from your horrible attitude.
