The President has been going around
our great country calling the Republicans, the “Party of No!” For he claims that measures to improve the
economy have been stalled in the Republican Controlled U.S. House of
Representatives! However, a closer look at the total situation will indeed show
the educated and open American person that Republicans are not the party
standing the way of producing jobs….. but the DEMOCRATS are! Perhaps the President is upset that the
American people voted overwhelmingly to put Republicans in control of the
House, for prior to November, 2010, Democrats were able to shut them out of any
and ALL changes they wished to make in the “new” direction for Socialistic America.

However, should one wish to look at ‘facts,’
rather than ‘fiction,’ the new and improved U.S. House of Representatives has
submitted more than 350 bills to the Senate in which Harry Reid has refused to
bring up for a vote! Included in these bills
are two separate Budget Amendments (required by law) and more than 30 bills to
put Americans back to work! In these “job
bills,” are measures to go forth with the Keystone Pipeline and removal of new
regulations that have thwarted increased offshore oil drilling!

The Houston Chronicle reported today,
that more than 1.5 million jobs can be added by 2015 with current increase in
Natural Gas drilling! Such drilling is
being performed on PRIVATE properties and not subject to the strict regulations
of Federal supervision and increased bureaucratic complications that stall such
great opportunities available to this country’s unemployed! It is important to note that the 1.5 Million
jobs are directly related. Anyone who is familiar with ‘support’ jobs will know
that each job created in the oil field business produces 4 more jobs in support
of new employee hiring’s.

So…. WHO is the real PARTY OF
NO??? Shame, Shame…. Shame on Democrats who
throw rocks in “glass houses!” For IF
one will visit this site below, they will find just what the House of
Representatives has done since the Republicans came in power! Once you have seen these bills, one may wish
to call Harry Reid and tell him to get busy working….. rather than hosting GSA
employees to bubble baths in Las Vegas.

And THANK GOD the (R)s said no when they did.

But as to the damaging part of no you have hit the nail on the head.

You should add Sections on these NOs that are promoted by the (D)s.

NO- profits, jobs, freedom. No safety for unborn babies. No death penalty for those who deserve it. NO student loans except throught the gov. No choosing who to work for.
Future "NO" goals of the (D)s-- No guns, No choice in food, No talk radio, No talking about your religion, No protection for your religion (unless it happens to be Islam), No borders, No pride in your accomplishments (that shows you are so selfish...to hog up all the luck involved in accomplishments), No pride in your country (I mean how can we lord it over the other countries like that), And on and on Ad infinitum.

The American Jobs Act was basically another bailout. The first one failed miserably, so why in the world would anyone with an ounce of common sense vote to do it again.

I looked it up and I think it's you that doesn't understand things. You talk about the jobs Obama claims this will create, but you don't talk about how it's going to be paid for or the fact that even if it does create 1.3 million jobs that each job will be at a cost of over $343,000 based on the $447 Billion cost of the bill.

Why should he be the one to show you where it is paid for, Marci? It's in the Presidents bill that "HE" will tell us how it is going to be paid for AFTER the bill gets approved! :)

That's NOT so! Read that bill again! It specifically says the President would produce funding for the bill after it was passed! :)

Here dear... I've copied it for you! It comes from paragraph 5! :)

"5. Fully Paid for as Part of the President’s Long-Term Deficit Reduction Plan.To ensure that the American Jobs Act is fully paid for, the President will call on the Joint Committee to come up with additional deficit reduction necessary to pay for the Act and still meet its deficit target. The President will, in the coming days, release a detailed plan that will show how we can do that while achieving the additional deficit reduction necessary to meet the President’s broader goal of stabilizing our debt as a share of the economy."

You're wrong on this one. The American Jobs Act was basically to be funded by increasing taxes on what Obama considers the wealthy (families earning over $250,000) and on oil and gas companies.

What Obama and those on the left don't seem to comprehend is that alot of those families making over $250,000 are small business owners that file as sole proprietors.

If you increase taxes on the evil oil and gas companies who do you think ends up paying those additional taxes? They'd just add that to the cost of a barrel of oil and we'd see it at the pump. That or they'd cut employees to recoup the extra costs.

The lack of understand by the left on the economy never ceases to amaze me.

Here's a list that voted against breaking the filibuster of the American Jobs Act. You'll notice that there are a few Democrats on that list.

I don't understand why no one brings up the fact that "Job Creaters" will create more jobs when taxes are higher.

If a so called Job Creater (JC) married couple makes 251K, only the last 1K will be taxed 5% extra. The 5% of 1K is 50 dollars. No job hiring for 50 dollars.

If the JC makes 100 million dollars the extra 5 million could do some hiring but JC's don't make investment decisions that way.

They invest pretax income seeking to maximize return on investment. JC's will pay some attention to the deduct-ability of the investment.

Payrole in 100% dedectable so a 5 % increase in taxes is an effective 5% more incentive to invest in payrole over paying taxes.

If the JC pays $40K per year before the tax increase, he will get an effective discount to pay that amount of 2K.
Either he pays the $40K as an investment in employment, or he keeps 38K and pays Uncle Sam 2K.

There are many other business investments that are expense deductible.
Investment choices are complected. Mostly they are made based on a expected return. If the JC creates jobs in China, for him it is tax equivalent to jobs in the USA.

It is very possible that congress and the President will come up with a program to tip the balance in employment incentives more favorably to other investments.

Excellent! Actually, a large percentage of this money is not dedicated to creating jobs... rather just another "pay back" to Union Civil Service employees!

If they're not in a union or some other group that Obama thinks he can get to vote for him they're not a priority.

Maci, simply by virtue of calling a bill "The American Jobs Act" does not by any means denote that that is what it actually accomplishes. You would be the first person ( I presume by your ideology anyway) to claim that by calling the "the Patriot Act" such a name does not make you unpatriotic for not supporting it.

The so called Jobs act was just smoke and mirrors. It was more spending on more projects that had no hope of making any lasting difference. Most of the spending was going to public sector jobs and buttressing falling local and state government budget gaps. It would have only been good for one year, and then all those people would have been out of work again. Besides, it didnt create new jobs, just kept government workers on the payrolls a little while longer.

Besides, isnt that what the stimulus bill was for? Just what exactly did that 850 billion get us? WE have millions more unemployed than when Obama took office.

But I suppose you cant see that. I guess by your logic I could write a bill that promotes the slaughtering of women and call it "the Peace and Harmony Act" and you would support it, because who doesnt want peace and harmony?

Open your eyes, what you see may surprise you.

I truly applaud and Im impressed with your steadfastness to argue on behalf of a bill that not even the Presidents fellow democrats would stand behind! It certainly must have been an embarrassment for him to present a White House Budget (after 3 years of not having one) that he was so humiliated by a 97 to 0 vote against, yes?

So, there was in fact some "democratic" loyalty in this sponsored bill by uniting together and making sure that it ONLY lost by a few votes, yes? :)

What you still fail to discuss in the "second" round of pleading your case is "How to pay for it?"

For you MUST agree.... the first $Trillion program the President offered was also suppose to help small employers, build bridges, roads, schools and other "shovel ready" programs.... Yes?

There is a old saying you might wish to remember.... "Shame me once, shame on you.... Twice.... Shame on me!"

Im trying my very, very best to treat you as an adult here, Marci! However, you should be much more respectful to those who have traveled far more many miles and seen many more things in his long life than you even know exist!

Do not be so quick to throw out statements you read or hear simply because you have a purposed pleasure to believe those who tell you such things have YOUR best interest in mind by doing so!

For you to automatically say that you will "never agree with me on anything" is truly a statement of immaturity and makes me think I have the need to treat you as a child!
