When liberals look at a crowd of people, they see blacks, whites, Hispanics, Orientals, men, women, rich, poor, gay, straight, union workers, old, young etc.

When Conservatives look at a crowd of people, they just see people.

I love the way you handled yourself against Jeremiah. I tried to point it out to him that he leans left but he seems to think his crap don't stink.

I told him about the racist lefties within the black community I grew up in and he hit back claiming I only know about it from within my community and that it doesn't count for the whole, in not so many words. As if my community doesn't represent hundreds of others just like it. He's a left leaning journalist who only "reports" the story from the left leaning angle he knows best. I simply stopped replying to him b/c I knew I'd be wasting my time and effort.

What he probably doesn't know is back during the Walter Cronkite days on CBS they would purposely put liberal journalists on certain stories. Just look at the slant we have today.

    Thank you.
The Liberal viewpoint comes from people who consider themselves better than others.
You'll see that manifested in their conduct towards others in action and in speech.
Their political viewpoints presume the inferiority of others and themselves as the righteous rescuer of others from their own stupidity.

There are other psychological aspects of their sickness but I've got better things to do then to elaborate on it.
It's usually of waste of time.

    Thanks again.

Hardly millions. Check the votes from the two states he won.
It's funny how Eric Holder calls Americans cowards for not discussing the race problem but as soon as someone addresses it, they are called racist.
If you have a solution for that dilemma, I'd like to hear it.

Meanwhile, if you'd like, we can discuss the statistical merits of the premise of his arguments which were based on food stamps used by African/Americans.
He offered to go to the NAACP to discuss it.
Why didn't they take him up on his offer?
Wouldn't that suggest they weren't willing to discuss it?

You'll have to provide a link for that.
The one I have says he was invited when he was speaker . . .
what was that . . . last century, right?

As far as your second sentence, if I used your same method of showing one person's words in the attempt to portray a whole people, I would insert a video by Nancy Pelosi's daughter that would support what Gingrich said (which was the 'worst comments" I referred to earlier).
Of course, most PEOPLE (forget discriminating between black and white, please. It's very racist) want jobs.

The reason I highlighted that everyone want jobs is that fact that that Newt .. claim that black people need to be told why they should want jobs.

And I saw that video of pelosis daughter. You are comparing that with elected officials?

Gingrich said if he has a chance to go before the NAACP, he would explain a "brand-new Social Security opportunity" for young people, "which would be particularly good for African-American males, because they are the group that gets the smallest return on Social Security."
He was never given the chance.
And a made up poster saying otherwise is not proof.
    Give a credible news source.

Unfortunately in the black community there isn't a sense of self pride in working. There is however a great exchange of information on entitlements. Our parents and grandparents did not go through all that they went through so that we could be enslaved to drugs and entitlement programs.

Percentage wise - drugs are destroying black communities here in our country. In my community we have programs helping grandparents to raise their grandchildren it is so bad. 70% of all black children are being born to women who have never been married. This does not bode well for our children.

Entitlement wise black are about 12% of the American population and get 22% of all entitlements.

Like I said before white people and black people do drugs at the same RATE . That men a black person any a white person is just as likely to do drugs. And black people only using 22% of the entitlements is not close to bad seeing how white people 100s of head head start . White or black did you know if you are born in to poverty you only have 7% chance of getting out of it .

Drugs have gutted our black communities. Our people are suffering terribly because of drugs and I see it EVERYDAY! If whites and blacks are doing drugs at the same rate it seems to be taking a much GREATER toll on us. Yes 22% of all entitlements to 12% of the population is bad to me. It may not be to you but it is to me.

In the black communities across America it is the illegal drugs that have decimated the quality of life for its inhabitants. No doubt the legal prescriptions drug trade is also a huge problem

Lack of opportunity for oppressed people and the drug activity is making it worse for opportunity.A minority do turn to the illegal sale and manufacturing of drugs with their huge profits, thus creating the crime that formulates to hold on to those drug profits.Making innocent working class poor suffer in these neighborhoods.Imo it's just the Prohibition era revisited, just not by the once oppressed immigrants. But today by oppressed citizen minorities looking for a way out of poverty.

Or a way out of having to work for a living. It is easier and readily available. Nonetheless it is crippling our African American communities. The internal destruction and internecine warfare is decimating many of our communities.

It is hurting black people more since the police target and arrest black people for it . When with white people they don't press as hard. And like I said before 100s of years of oppression . You think in 2 generations all of the crap that people had to deal with would be forgotten ? You think if white people had to deal with everything black people had to deal with they would not need more entitlements ?
  • jean Joey 2012/06/12 00:40:43

Joey what I am seeing in my community has nothing to do with people being targeted. Yes I know that happens all of the time. I am talking about what it going on in families and between black community members. Working is the very last thing on the mind of many people I see each and every day.

No one is going to walk in a solve the problems of the black communities in America - why should they? They couldn't not matter how much they tried. The first step would be the foundation of the black family to build on. Father, mother, children and extended family members working together. As I stated 70% of all black children born in America are born to women who have never been married. This is a HUGE part of the problem. We must support and uplift each other!

We have to have a firm foundation on which to build - at present it just isn't there. The government has become the "provider" for woman and children in black communities.

People have short memories it was only 47 yrs. ago the Voting Rights Act of 1965 was signed by Johnson outlawing discriminatory voting.Though the 15th Amendment in 1870 95 yrs. prior guaranteed the right to vote regardless of race, color or previous condition of servitude.Sounds oppressed in my books.

Au contraire, in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans in the aftermath of Katrina, there was an enormous amount of self pride in rebuilding their community. I saw it for myself. I am sure that was not an isolated example.

Most blacks did not return to the ninth ward of New Orleans - remember? Most black communities (ghettos) looks like war zones in this country. Been to Detroit lately? Many places in LA the police will not even go into unless it is en mass and they are full loaded and charged.

From what I have heard, most of them have now returned, and are determined to carry on.

Most ghettos are no longer anything like war zones. Detroit is cleaning up now that the auto industry is attracting workers and businesses again. LA is also shaping up. Watts and South Central no longer look as they did years ago. I think you are using outdated information.

I wish I was using outdated information. Please remember that my son is LA Sheriff's Dept. and my sister in law runs a County Welfare Dept. in California.

I will send you Detroit info from my file if you wish. Gracious43 lives in a suburb there and works at a hospital treating most of the indigent people in the City of Detroit. She also volunteered to teach but might have had to stop by now because her vehicle was being regularly vandalized. She sent me a lot of info. I will forward to you or post it here for all to see when I locate it.

Wish that were true sir - the GIMME'S - have taken over for many.

Welfare is decades old. Food stamps are certainly old enough for people to have become addicted to them. Yes I know that many people now HAVE to have them to survive in this economy. For far too many in the African American community section 8 housing, welfare, food stamps and a host of other government programs and entitlements are a way of life and generational. This does not bode well for the future. It also teaches the future generations nothing useful. 70 percent of all black children are born to women that have never been married. The children and their mothers are many times state dependent. No quick and easy answers here. Most cannot survive on their own now.
