Who is more annoying, Liberals or Conservatives? 8)

No contest. Sometimes you make a funny post to someone and then suddenly some "conservative" is stalking you and calling you names as well as insulting you. Oh and no matter what the subject of the thread is, someone (or many) will make it into something obnoxious about Obama. (Doesn't matter that it doesn't make sense.) Although, I've met some nice ones and we've just agreed to disagree that is certainly the minority. There are way too many mean-spirited ones, that ask questions and then insult you throughout the thread no matter what you say. They call you names and are liars. When they can't think of anything else to say they pull the "communist card." I've been shocked at how mean and nasty so many have been either in general, to others or to me personally.

I agree with your comments. I tend to see both sides, though, because of my views that don't fit snugly in either party line. I have experienced all the above from both sides of the aisle. Instead of the 'communist card', the other side uses the 'racist card' with equal aplomb.

I tend to be both sides, as well. And the stupid thing is, that I am and have always been a moderate. There are some things that I actually agree with on conservative issues. It really wasn't until my local hate radio conservative station (that I used to work for) started bashing the poor, minorities, teachers, etc. that I started disliking them and what they stand for more and more. I still don't believe in abortion, or gay marriage. And I am a Christian but the reason I am liberal is because of environmental and social issues. Plus, I've seen families ruined by not having health insurance and thing something should be done about it. That being said, (about the racist card), racism raised it's ugly head big time in regards to the Trayvon Martin case. And on a thread about education, I was of course called a dangerous communist who should not be allowed to teach kids. (That was because I said they was no NEA Handbook of teaching Communist Values or something silly) And that if there were this hidden agenda, why didn't I know about it? It's hate rhetoric and I think the right has it down to a "t".

I posted a comment about reforming social programs to limit the fraud and abuse. The response I got was picture of a KKK cross burning.

I said on this one thread how I could sympathize with those less fortunate, those that are on food stamps. Then I stupidly shared a story about something that happened 2 years ago, that I was first separated and as a teacher was only paid once a month. Even though I'm "older" I went back to school to become a teacher so I was only in the 1st year teacher pay scale. I said that I thought I had $10 in my account but my $8 in groceries were declined. I was very upset and a nice lady gave the clerk $10 and I thanked her profusely, in which she said, "don't worry about it, maybe one day you can help me out." The result of that? I was called "the teacher on food stamps." I had never said that I was on food stamps, I just was making the point that I know how sometimes things can happen out of your control (in this case it was suddenly being a single mom at 49.) They were such jerks. Unbelievable. (And that's just one example).

Exactly. That is what social programs should be for. Help up and out. Not subsistence forever.

Well, the hatred that pours out of conservatives on this board in regards to the poor (yeah, I know great homophone use) is pretty horrible.

It's because of the black or white phenomenon. I will bend over backwards (and do) to help those in need, but I don't want to be forced to help those who choose not to help themselves. Hardcore cons tend to see only the abuse of the system, and hardcore libs only see only those truly in need. Unfortunately, both are out there; the truly needy and the truly leechy.

FOX news has been the number one cable news program for 12 years because they present both the liberal and conservative view. Guess you have never watched FOX news or you would have known that.

The left HATES Fox News because they don't follow the Left Wing ONE sided bias towards reporting the news.. Fox ACTUALLY has more Liberal opinions epressed on their programs daily then the Left WIng Outlets allow for a year..

When McCain ran against Obama.. 86% of the reporting on.. McCain was negative while a similar percentage for Obama was positive..

I compare their coverage to the View.. When Obama appeared on that program HE got " Oh ,, What a HANDSOME man you are.. Is it TRUE that you're related to Brad Pitt?" They litterally FAWNED over him like they couldn't wait to assume the Monica Lewinsky position..

ANd the crowd CHEERED..

When McCain appeared a WEEK later he got from the resident Black Racist,, WHoopi,, " If YOU become President do I have to worry about being made a slave again?"..

AND the Crowd cheered THAT..

Now,, We all KNOW why Fox News is Number One.. Even the Moderate Left goes to THEM for both sides of the story..If we wanted to listen to one sided ultra biased Left Wing DEMOCRAT Propaganda,, we'd go to their websites and NOT watch it on the Democrat controlled once powerful MSM..
