I think Bush will go down as worst President ever but can't be sure for another 15 years or so BJ's presidency was previewed negatively until recently and a lot of his programs are still in use. People are criticizing the affordable care act now but....wait until they have to use it. People don't like the Lilly Leadbetter Fair Pay Act....until its applicable to them, so only time will tell.

maybe...i personally think all politicians are pretty much the same. at the end of the day he's not much different than the rest. we have 535 of in congress and can;t seem to get anything done.

however, romney does scare me because I think he will be nothing more than a puppet for big business. he's seems to be willing to say and do anything to be president. he's too unpredictable and that's dangerous.

BTW, Warren Harding was not. He delivered 100% on all of his promises and never lied to the American people. He also cured a far, far worse economy than Obama inherited and he did it in less than 1.5 years. How? By drastically cutting both taxes and government spending. That ushered in the greatest period of prosperity in American history, the Roaring Twenties"..

Not closed. Progressive meddling by the new Federal Reserve brought about the stock market crash. That brought about a Recession, which Progressive Herbert Hoover turned into a Depression and which Progressive FDR made even worse, thus creating the Great Depression.

That's what the history books and the Progressives say, but it's not true. Herbert Hoover was a Progressive Republican (like Teddy Roosevelt) and he created the Federal Reserve which brought about the financial crisis.

Yes, Credit and 85% margin were contributors, but it was the Fed that created and enabled both.

Hoover and the Fed caused the crash, but it was just a Recession until Hoover initiated his recovery policies and turned it into a Depression. Then FDR built on Hoover's failed policies and crested a Great Depression. FDR's policies continually made it all worse.

FDR took office in 1933. with 11% unemployment. Under FDR's failed policies, Unemployment hit 17% in 1939.

So who's policies is Obama emulating? You guessed it: FDR's.

nope but you sound like one. hoover had a laze fair approach to the economy (leave it along and markets will fix themselves, much like Bush & other republicans of today, it was FDR that realized deficit spending was necessary to fix economy, much like Obama did. See the government operates off tax revenue. the more people that are working the more tax revenue is generated. Although FDR got a boost from the war, it was putting the people to work that fixed the economy. that's econ 099.

please don't talk to me about skin color when that whats been going on in this country, at every level of government for more than 230 years.

i taught econ and gov for years so i do more than study it.

FDR failed miserably. WWII put 11,000,000 Americans to work and saved FDR's bacon. That is why FDR provoked Japan into war and entered the European war unnecessarily.

Nah Bush won't go down as worst ever, not even close, when you look at the 55 months of Job creation(record) and the solid substain growth of the GNP which was extremely high. And you have to look at the fact that Obama has only continued all of Bush's policies, everyone, toe for toe, you can not make any arguement that Obama is a better President. However I think Obama has put into place things which have hurt America. I do agree with you it's a considerable lag effect on what they do. take for instance, Clinton's deregelation of the Banking system, which 9 years later caused a Meltdown of the housing market in 2007. Though it's funny how a lot of Democrats want to blame Bush for that deregulation. Here is a good read on Bush as the worst POTUS in history.

Bush continued Clinton's programs....you must have forgot he was on vacation almost exclusively for 1/11 to 9/11. No President since FDR has had to deal with an economic crisis like him...that alone will make him a better president than Bush.

Do you even comprehend just how bad he has handled this, we were in a much better position in 2008 than we are today and that was before he spent 6 trillion dollars. Thats almost as much as was spent in the preceding 243 years of American history, yet the job situation is much worse today than in 2008, gas is higher, unemployment is higher, there are more poeple on food stamps, (Obama has been nicknamed the Food stamp president you know) gov't has grown by over 2.5 million, there are fewer people looking for work, his policies have stopped free enterprise growth,
I would agree with you on that fact if Obama had done what he said, but he hasn't, and whats worse, it doesn't appear he has tried. He hasn't tried to work with Congress at all taking a partasian approach to everything he has done. Instead of leading like LBJ, who got things done with a GOP controled house and senate, he has only futher divided the American people, and continues to pull america apart. There are several stories out about his personality disorder, and truly that has hurt us all simply to stoke his ego.

go back and study the great depression. you have to do deficit spending to keep the economy out of a depression, look at whet Roosevelt did compared to Hoover. gas was not higher. gas was $.99 per during Clinton and reached almost $4.50 during Bush. I don't think we've seen $4 gas yet. if fact its less that $3 now. that whole food stamp thing doesn't fly because jobs have been going overseas for past 25 years. its a fact that our economy is shifting from manufacturing to service. there are 2 million unfilled jobs out there because americans lack the skill/education to fill them. the president can't force people to go to college and obtain a job.his country just didn't get this way overnight and certainly not in the past three years either!
