White House to halt deportation of young illegal immigrants

mwg0735 2012/06/15 14:50:47
[...]

The White House will halt the deportation of as many as 800,000 young
illegal immigrants and in some cases give them work permits, in a
sweeping new initiative announced by the Department of Homeland
Security.

People under 30 who entered the country illegaly or overstayed their
visas when they were under the age of 16 will be immune from deportation
if they have not committed a significant misdemeanor or felony and have
graduated from a U.S. high school or joined the military. They can
apply for a renewable two-year work permit that won't provide a path to
citizenship but will allow them to work legally in the country.

Rep ( and patriot) steve king of Iowa said he will. It is possible the Supreme Court could say its not a valid order since it goes against seperation of powers. IF obama had been smart and not made it a unilateral amensty he might not be in as much trouble.

Nothing is gonna change, I mean those people are here already, have been, they have been working, many of them, and they weren't gonna leave, because they live here.
So it's no big deal, nothing has changed but their mindset on this issue.
It's not like the economy is gonna sink even deeper in the mud any further than it already has, and that's because the economy isn't in the toilet because of any illegal aliens, it's in the toilet because of government actions.
Hey if those people want to become Americans after everything they have seen happen in America, I say more power to them, because america ain't no dream nation anymore, that's for damn sure.

Yes, this is true. it's an Occam's razor theory if you will. Which means the simplest explanation of the situation is that which government usually does not see at first, but as more illegal aliens come to America seeking the same fate to become their future the real problem will raise it's head. of course by that time it will take even more tax dollars to fix the problem.
Like the "melting pot theory" a tragic mistake that did not work as planned, and turned America into a more divided nation.
And I have to laugh, because Occam's razor logic seems to be our governments setback every damn time, not seeing the big picture and dealing with the smaller situation that leads to tragic results.
It is the logic of both democrat and republican leadership anymore, and we the people just keep on voting for them as if we follow the same stupidity.
And maybe that is our fate for trusting our leaders who rule like dictators under the clothing of democracy.
Like I said, nothing is gonna change, because that's the outcome we the people should expect from our two party leadership.
And they are "all" idiots anymore as far as we the people are concerned.

both are screwed up. Sadly it seems the republicans are the lesser of two evils and will keep america as close to the america we know as opposed to the third world cesspool democrats are trying to to turn it into.

Yes but all voting third party the current system just gives liberals a win. A vote for anyone but the republican this year is just diluting the opposition to obama. In theory I do agree with you.

So i guess Romney is gonna win then. Well without my help, as I won't be responsible for what he's got planned for America.
    Good luck with your plan.

I think both are corrupt. Hell all kidding aside what do you call an honest politician? The loser in the last election.

As long as whoever is elected does not screw things up too bad, leaves my guns alone and does not let illegal vermin take over the country I am fine. Obama is ok with illegal vermin overruning the country as long as those who can ( or do illegally) vote democrat. All of his judiciary appointments are clearly anti-gun and that bothers me.

I agree, Obama ain't the sharpest tool in the shed.
But you ain't even seen what Romney is gonna do.
Lets hope, and god forbid, people don't start thinking they wish obama was back after romney has his way with America.
    That's what bothers me!!!!

Oh, I don't know about that one my friend. I'll bet Bill Clinton gives Obama a run for his liberty, that's for god-damn sure!
Then there is Noxon, Bush and many others that have done to America worse than Obama has.

There's responsibility to one's ethics, values and morals, and responsibility to one's nation.
There is responsibility to our childrens future.
There is the responsibility to dissolve the grip of the ideology, intoned by big-money interests.
There is the meaning of government of the people, by the people, and for the people instead of what we have now which is for the government by the people.
Citizens must not permit usurpation of their authority by acts of individuals and government agencies that isolate or insulate government from their oversight and control. We, the People, have a responsibility to participate in self-government through all the means that our Constitution provides.

I would call that a whole lot of "what else".
And anything less does not get my support.
But feel free to logic your vote the way you see fit my friend, for myself I can not do that to the rest of Americans.

He couldn't get congress to pass the Dream Act, so he'll just go ahead and do it without them. Nobody likes congress anyway so what the heck? And when the Supreme Court overturns Obamacare, maybe he'll try to go ahead without them too. You can't ask for more in a president than that, can you?

I have severely mixed feelings about this. On one hand it can help them, but on the other hand Obama's breaking the law with this as well as the economy being crap at the moment so not even the legal citizens can find jobs. Don't get me with that, "the economy is in recovery," bs. If that were the case the rate for clever graduates finding a job wouldn't be at 33%! So those of us who are IN college wouldn't be so worried about our future when we get out! Hell I'm so worried that I'm going to leave the country because I know there's no way in hell I'll get a job with the current state of affairs. It's just sad. I was born here in the United States and I've lived here all 21 years of my life! It's just scary! This is only going to make problems worse for a country and its people.

Under our current liberal media the addition of several million new wet-backs on the unemployment rolls will cause the employment rate to drop to 5% nationally.
