President Obama has no intention of getting rid of Vice President Biden as his running mate, the White House said Thursday.
Republicans are being “ridiculous” and are trying to “distract attention” with their focus on Vice President Biden and his controversial comments earlier this week, White House press secretary Jay Carney said.
“They know that what they're saying about this is ridiculous," Carney said at a briefing with reporters, adding that it's an “obvious” attempt to take attention away from policy issues.

Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign lashed out at Biden and President Obama this week after the vice president in an address in Virginia said the Republican’s approach to the financial industry would “put y’all back in chains.” Biden made the remarks in front of a racially mixed audience.
Obama’s campaign has repeatedly said Biden was simply talking about financial regulation.

Now the jig is up. Obama kept Biden because Biden did exactly what Obama told him to do. And Obama cannot bring himself to believe that Biden's crude attempt to foment race riots has failed utterly.

King 0bama needs his court Jester Biden around. 'It' keeps the laughs coming

Biden is like a child in that he repeats everything he hears. So whatever is coming out of his mouth is something someone has recently said about a given topic that Biden is talking about.

Biden is the best running mate Obama could possible imagine having to share and express his calculated "blurbs". It's like adding more weight to Obama being "back in chains" as he sinks in the Potomac.

Biden is the Vice President, and was elected as such in 2008, receiving more votes with President Obama than any other politicians in the history of this country by a factor of 7.5 million votes.

I look forward to the Vice Presidential debates with Biden v Ryan, with Joe Biden having 35 years experience in the Senate and 4 years as Vice President, against Ryan with his 13 and a half years experience in the House. Romney's pick of Ryan as his running mate was more lame than McCain picking Sarah Palin with her two years experience as Governor of Alaska. Sarah Palin was not ready or prepared to be one heartbeat away from the Presidency, and the same thing applies to Paul Ryan. Ryan may be the extremist ideologue poster boy for the Republican party, but he is not Presidential material.

I'll have to repeat myself. Joe Biden has 35 years experience in the US Senate, and almost 4 years experience as Vice President. That's more practical experience than Presidents Obama, Bush, Clinton, HW Bush, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy, Eisenhower, Truman, Hoover, and most other Presidents in this nation's history. You are going to be hard pressed to find a President with more than 39 years experience in the Congress and the Executive branch of government.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?...
Bush had so many gaffes, they had to make up a word for them. They're called "Bushisms".
    http://www.thefreedictionary....

Funny how Joe Biden doesn't have a word that describes all his gaffes.

And if you have been following Ryan's interviews in the last few days, and the way he is dancing around his positions with questions from reporters, the VP debates should be very entertaining.

I've watched the last two speeches he made in Ohio and he's never once danced on his positions. Not once. He's knocked it out of the park. But then again you are an Obama fan and I am the furthest thing from that.
    BTW...take your pick:
    Bidenisms or IDIOTISMS.
  • StarWar... betz 2012/08/17 17:02:33

I didn't refer to speeches. I referred to Ryan's interviews with reporters, like the ones he had in Ohio yesterday. Ryan was asked how he could oppose the stimulus bill if he had asked for money for his district, as some news outlets reported.

"I never asked for stimulus," he told Cincinnati's WCPO-TV. "I don't recall — and I haven't seen this report so I really can't comment on it. I opposed the stimulus because it doesn't work — it didn't work. It brought us deeper into debt. It was about $1.1 trillion when you add the borrowing cost; it put us deeper in debt and further out of work."

Later on in the day the Ryan campaign admitted that Ryan had requested stimulus funds for his district, and some grants were as much as $20 millions for the Madison-based Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corporation.
    http://bostonglobe.com/news/p...

That's just one example. Then there's Ryan and Romney conflicting statements on Medicare.
    http://www.latimes.com/news/o...
Paul Ryan is so desperate on his budget proposals, that this weekend he is going to campaign in Florida with his mother. When's the last time you've seen a VP candidate campaign with their mother?

I believe that Joe Biden would make a great President, except that by 2016 he would be too old.

BTW, I'm not from California, I only live here. I am from the US Army, born and raised. One more thing. Mitt Romney has a home in La Jolla, about 12 miles up the road.

I can't believe anyone in the Army would ever want this man as your President, knowing he doesn't want the military to vote. You must be one of the few Democrats in the Service.
  • StarWar... Pamela ... 2012/08/17 17:28:34
    StarWarsBob
What do you mean "knowing he doesn't want the military to vote."? In the 2008 election, military personal deployed overseas gave campaign contributions to Barack Obama by 6 to 1 over John McCain, and McCain was a military war hero.
    http://www.opensecrets.org/ne...
If Romney is elected, he'll get this country into a ground war with Iran faster than Bush got us into Iraq. That only took 25 months for Bush after he took office.

The US or Israel just can't bomb Iran's nuclear facilities. It would be great if it was that easy. Those facilities are buried deep into granite mountains, and conventional bunker buster bombs won't work. They're designed to penetrate about 90 to 120 feet of case hardened concrete, or the typical type of bunker. Without troops on the ground deep into Iran, the US or Israel would have to use the nuclear bunker busters, and nobody is going to start dropping nuclear weapons on Iran. That would bring Russia into the conflict in short order. The Persian Gulf would become a free fire zone with fourth and fifth generation missile technology, making our ships and carriers sitting ducks against missiles like the Sunburn anti-ship missiles, that were sold to Iran by Russia.

BTW, I'm not in the US Army. I grew up in the Army, born in Germany and raised on military bases overseas and in the US.
