The Republican primaries are heating up, so it's time to bring out the big guns. In this case, that means the wives. Three of the GOP frontrunners -- Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, and Newt Gingrich -- recently released 30-second ads featuring their significant others. Business Insiders speculates the family-oriented videos are probably their way of avoiding smear campaigns during the holidays.

Despite the similarities, they all took very different approaches. Ann Romney runs the ad alone, focusing on Mitt's character and ability to make the right decision, regardless of public pressure. Anita Perry takes a homegrown approach, emphasizing religion and family life (watch the end!). Finally, Callista Gingrich stands by her husband for a warm holiday message. We're beyond eager to see Herman Cain's entry. Watch the footage and let us know: which Republican wife do you think has the most appeal of the three?

I chose Ann Romney due to having the better message, like others it does not mean I will vote for him, just seemed like a better ad then the others. The Anita Perry had a decent message however the delivery seemed a bit corny to me. The Callista Gingrich was nice showing them as a team and a holiday flair, this may be a superficial statement, however those two are scary looking.

I didn't watch the videos so this is gut: Callista looks wound way too tightly. Anita may be a lush. Ann looks intelligent, down to earth, and quite possibly sweet. (Yay!) Also, although that's an old shot, they also look like they are in love. Call me a romantic sentimentalist but, I like that for the first couple.

OK...I watched the videos. Same opinion.

I am a social, economic, political, and moral conservative, but a total conservative cannot manage this country. Besides being the commander in chief, the President is the CEO of the USA Government. He is not the Supreme Commander, but answers to the Congress and Populace. The job that his 4 year contract appoints him to do is to oversee, to manager the government, without total control. The 1st Lady complements his job and is task with equal representation of the country. She is to be dignified and dignified the country. Although all the ladies would do this well Mitt Romney would perform the duties required of him the best.

The wife of the President is a counselor to her husband. Regardless of appointment. She has his ear. Ann Romney is a supportive companion to her partner. One who will bring tradtional values back to the white house and to the presidents. I'm sure they will not be taking lavish vacations on the tax payors $, like we have seen with Michelle

The Romney's are good people. They are not perfect just like all the other GOP's and take a lot more crap from people then the other Gop's for some reason. Ann Romney would be a great first lady and Romney is a very smart business man and would be a 1000 times better President compared to Obama!

Yes, he would replace Obamacare with "you're on your own" for those without a pot to piss in and window to throw it out. Lucky he has enough money from stealing it from the little guy to pay for his wife's MS treatment at Mass General. Others are left to fend for themselves and die. What a great country!

Keep in mind that we vote for the Pres to elect him. That does not mean we vote for his wife to stick her nose into world politics. Wifes are not running mates. Congress Should enact a no interference act for Pres wifes. If the sig other wants to run something let the people vote on it.

Gingrich wife doesn´t seem honest, she looks like she´s hiding her personality beneath tons of make up. I liked Ann because she made the most personal message, while Anita sounded VERY conservative.

I was curious about Callista, and went up to talk with her at one of Newt's speaking gigs.... my sense is of a nice woman who is a bit shy, and deals with it via immaculate personal appearance and self-discipline.

Well, I don´t think the wife should be the most important in an election campaign. I don´t even think she should be important, because in the end the candidates politics matter, not the personality of his wife.

being as you asked such a superficial question, I answered based on the fact that I don't want Romney for President and Callista is the phoniest spouse of the lot. However, all of them (why only 3).. are a thousand percent better than the mugly, marxist first lady we have now.

Mrs. Obama is sooooo much prettier than the Crypt Keeper....I mean Calista. The wives of Perry and Romney are nice looking ladies, but that has nothing to do with their husbands' ability. It really doesn't matter because NONE of them will be occupying the White House. Scary dreams to you.

Hard to believe that creature & I are the same age, much less in the same generation. Botox owes her a FULL refund. Time and being a tramp have not been kind to her face.
