Which Republican Presidential Candidate Has the Best Chance to Defeat President Obama?

In a serious election we wouldn't have just Democrats and Republicans both of whom have controlled this country with corruption for far to long, if you are for serious reform, for Liberty and Freedom, getting out of debt, for stopping the needless deaths of our men and women in uniform in needless wars then Ron Paul is the only clear choice.

So we all know that you "closet" liberals will vote for Obama once you realize Paul is NOT going to be the GOP nominee...... Besides, legalizing drugs would only be done on a State by State basis, so don't even think for a second that voting for Paul would be a smart choice. The bulk of the people you call liberal, and who call themselves liberal, are closet socialists. Of course so now are many so-called conservatives. Santorum specifically comes to mind.

I'm voting for the Libertarian candidate if Ron Paul's not the nominee, because only the libertarians stand for the liberal principles and wisdom of our most distinguished founding fathers.

If I had to vote today I would vote for Santorum.

The way their selection process is going, none of them. All of them are terribly flawed candidates. Yes I want to make my opinion count. But if you want to really see what is going to happen, you need to put a "None of the Above" option. Santorum is right - it's a two person race now on the Republican side - Tweedle Dweeb (Mint RawMoney) and Tweedle Dumb (Rick "Google Me" Santorum). It may be true that more Americans self-identify as conservative than liberal, but at least the majority of Americans correctly identify themselves as sane. Which means given the choices above, Barack Obama will be our President for another 4 years.

Well, of course, I disagree with you. I think the President has been the only sane person in Washington. The GOP would rather have the economy destroyed than agree to anything that might benefit the American people and they have stonewalled legislation time and time again. I believe the vast majority of Americans see it this way and The president will be re-elected.

Sorry but Obama is the guy who has destroyed the Economy. You cannot blame the GOP for what the Anointed One has done and continues to do. It's the result of the unfunded G.W. war in Iraq (wrong country invaded by the way) and the simultaneous huge tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. "Entitlements", those programs that Americans have paid into for decades to insure their future income, have not added one penny to the deficit. In fact, the fund had been plundered previously to help pay for other things. It is self supporting and will continue being self supporting with just a few minor tweeks.

Actually, whether the world is better off without Saddam is a pretty bad example. First, we invaded a country that had nothing to do with 9/11. Was Saddam a sadistic brute? Of course, but that did not justify our sojourn into his country. In addition, that country is now disintegrating into muslim factions and will soon be involved in a civil war.
