I would certainly hope Ron Paul would be able to win the election; America doesn't need another 'neo-conservative' to be President, like Bush-Cheney, or Romney, Santorum, Gingrich, or anyother Rockefeller Republican (which is what we have had since 1988)>

The GOP won't agree to the FAILED policiies that Obama has instituteds since he took the Oath.. They're DOING their JOB by stonewalling this President and harry Reid.. It's what they were put IN there to do..

The results.. When Obama got everything he wanted before 2010,, America went down the tubes.. SINCE 2010 Obama has NOT gotten everything he wanted and the economy is starting to IMPROVE..

    THIS shows TWO things..

When Obama gets what he wants,, America SUFFERS..

When the economy is left alone to recover as itALWAYS does when NOT interfered with,, things IMPROVE.. After all.. it was Government interferrence that CAUSED all this mess in the First Place..

I CAN'T tell you that Obama won't get re-elected.. THAT'S not a sure thing but ONCE the republicans get behind a SINGLE nominee and the vote is no longer split among the many,, Obama's re-election is no longer a sure thing either..

America went down the tubes in 2008 under G.W. I know because that's when I lost my job. His failed economic policies, his tax cuts for the wealthy and his unfunded invasion of the wrong country increase our debt and sucked the life out of our economy. America is now recovering under the leadership of Mr. Obama. There are none so blind as those who will not see.

do you know what the senate is ? Is the senate , who has been holding back budgets and bills -run by "Republicans" ?
For that mater what would- could the government do to help the economy* ? Do you and I even have the same concept of what the economy is ...LOL

Reagan Government is not the solution

We argue about the answers but all of us have already lost because we have different questions in our heads. You have two generations of liberals out there who are fighting for liberty , because we do not have it ! You can not change their minds , it is the only reality they can ever see ….America has less chance of changing back to what it was than China has had for the past 40 years.
Did you know that it is a fact as instructed at all universities that a Patriot has no strong feelings for any one nation , all nations are equal and supporting one over another is Nationalism ...nationalism is “evil” its bad , everything that is bad starts with nationalism ...that is what two generations believe ! That is what they “all know” ...liberals are fighting for liberty – because they don't have it . Conservatives are (to them) fighting to keep the oppression that they have been instructed to see in America -
    War's over dude – we lost .

It is the House of Reps who has voted down every proposal and bill the president has offered. The Senate is in the hands of the Democrats but for some reason, majority rules not longer means anything there. They apparently have to have some kind of super majority wihich I honestly don't understand and that is what prevents passage of bills there. A simple majority no longer flys. I wish someone would explain THAT to me.
The government can help the econonmy by lightening up on taxes for low and middle income people, raising the taxes on the very wealthy to the levels that existed under Reagan, eliminating loopholes for both wealthy individuals and corporations. The wealthy and the businesses have been operating with substantial tax breaks for decades. So where are the jobs? They have no reason or any intention of creating jobs unless it is to their advantage to do so. Do you think that all the money they make goes back into their business? No, it either goes into their own pockets or to off shore accounts where they can hide it from the IRS. Romney didn't work a day last year and still made something like 26 million from "investments". And if you think he doesnt have off shore banks/investments, you're wrong. They all do if they're million or billionaires. And by the way Santorum had his billionaire PAC leader on stage with him the other night when he won a primary. They're all the same. Bought and paid for.

the President has proposed insanity - even the senate has failed to vote on his madness ...you know nothing and still will fight as if Obama is a king and everyone else is against him and wrong ! the unions and government banks have been immune to the laws for years and are running the government just as they own and run you ...free pass on crimes for freddie&Fanny paid for with fines imposed on other banks for the same actions ????? Obama did that ! You did that - be proud defend big brother attack crimethink ! attack oldthink ! Obama made a billion dollars in one day for his super pac ???? And had a website set up 14 months before he started that PAC to take in money for that PAC on the day he opened it ???? the monsters your looking for are all in the DNC-
  • Pat Franklin 2012/02/19 21:19:00

You're right, banks have been immune for years....right back to the Reagan era. The way things are set up and have been set up for decades is clearly not all Obama's doing. I believe that if the Democrats can win back the house of Reps and keep the Senate we will see many more victories for the American people. There is already talk about the Supreme Court being ready to overturn Citizens United and that will be a huge step in handing the election process back to the American people instead of the corporations. It's unreasonable to expect that any president can undo the damage of over 30 years in one or two years. I expect that in his second term President Obama will have the Congress on his side and a lot of the things you mentioned will be eliminated or changed.

it will not be a race about issues ! You are still not seeing the kind of evolution we have already under gone ...to look at this like other American elections is foolish - look to 1929 Germany for the kind of election this is going to be.

I think Romney can if the others unite behind him. Paul comes across as crazy, Gingrich has too much baggage, and Santorum has a limited base. I liked Bachmann myself but the most important thing is getting rid of Obama. A win for him in November will only embolden him and hasten the destruction of the country.

So YOU'RE the ONE who liked Bachmann! Obama will win. The more ridiculous the GOP circus gets. the more people are coming around to Obama. He broke the 50% favorability rating today. It will only go higher as the GOP continues to dig themselves in deeper.

War has been around from the beginning of time till the end of it.Any thing worth protecting is worth fighting for.The United States will always have to defend her self, from those who wish her harm. And some times as we are learning we have to protect our selves from our very own people. living umong us ( progressives, die hard liberals and rihno republicans).AND PRESIDENT OBAMA STEPPING ALL OVER OUR CONSTITUTION IS A ACT OF TREASON TO MANY AMERICANS.WARS ARE FOUGHT TO KEEP OUR FREEDOM.

    Crazy quotes from mitt romney

"I saw my father march with Martin Luther King." (Romney's campaign later admitted that they didn't march on the same day, or in the same city)

"PETA is not happy that my dog likes fresh air." --on strapping his dog to the top of the car

"Hugo Chavez has tried to steal an inspiring phrase 'Patria o muerte, venceremos.' It does not belong to him. It belongs to a free Cuba." --invoking a phrase that translates to "Fatherland or death, we shall overcome," which Fidel Castro has used to close his speeches for years, and which is associated with Cuban oppression.

    cats against romney

The two polls (GOP nominee and this) show me clearly that the one SH'ers think will get the GOP nod is not the one that will beat Obama. Conversely, the one that will beat Obama is not the one SH'ers think will get the GOP nod. Am I the ONLY one seeing the solution to this?!? Vote Ron Paul!!!
