Civil Liberties
I depend on the government for certain things, and I fear the government from encroaching on my rights. Every time we give the government power to protect us or give us something, the government has to take something to accomplish this. Either it takes our money or our rights.
If we want to stop hate speech, we outlaw some forms of speech. If we want the gov't to provide healthcare, we need to pay the tax and may lose the option for private healthcare motivated by profit.

Economy & Jobs
there is no such thing as global warming, the world always will have ice ages and will always get warmer again. Global warming is another way the government is trying to control you people. Look into your history.Global Warming / Environment
People can live without food for a month. People can live without water for a week. People can live without air for 5 minutes. Which is the most important to you? We need them all. Care for the Earth is above any other needs.Education
My passion is Education, and in particular Special Education - Obama promised to finally provide full federal funding for IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) - it's been passed since the 1970's but only about 40% federally funded - leaving the states to try to fund rest, which they can't & they don't - particularly California. My goal is to make this happen!Civil Liberties
Why does the presedent even have an AGENDA, any elected official should adopt the agenda of the people that put them there, you forget you work for us, without us you would not be there !!!Education
BB, you are one more reason the jackass is a fitting mascot for the Democrat Party.Civil Liberties
Our Constitution is the greatest political document in the world. Over the past 30 years the precious protections and rights it guarantees have been severely eroded. Instead of protecting the public, law enforcement and the courts incarcerate more citizens than anywhere else in the world. Laws are made more for the benefit of powerful corporations than the citizens of this country, further eroding our rights. Benito Mussolini, the fascist dictator, stated:"Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power."
We must stop the erosion of our civil liberties and restore what has been lost or nothing else will matter.
Economy & Jobs
I do not have a job right now and with the Economy not getting any better there is little to no jobs available. Iraq is also high on my list because my husband served two tours in Iraq and i will continue to stand behind the men and women that are fighting for OUR freedom. We need to get them home! Immigration is another big issue but we won't get into that.Health Care
I want healthcare reform. It is immoral to profit off of the health or sickness of fellow human beings. No one should go bankrupt because they got sick or hurt.Health Care
Why do I oppose the Obama Health Care plan? Well...let's see:1. The CBO estimated the cost will be at least $1.6 trillion! Taxes will soar...the money has to come from somewhere!!! And don't even BEGIN to tell me about efficiencies...compared to what? Social Security or Medicare with $59 Trillion in unfunded liabilities?
The Peterson Foundation calculated the federal government accumulated $56.4 trillion in total liabilities and unfunded promises for Medicare and Social Security as of September 30, 2008. The numbers used to calculate this figure come directly from the audited financial statements of the U.S. government.
2. The current health care system will degrade in quality. Fifty million more people with THE SAME NUMBER of doctors. Something has to give...and it will be quality of care and rationing of services.
3. The Obama plan will cover 12 million illegal aliens (that are here today) plus those that come here like steel filings to a magnet once they know they will be taken care of by the new socialistic American government!
Let's see...12 million illegal aliens X $3,000/year per person for health insurance is $36 Billion per year. That works out to $100 Million per day to cover today's illegal aliens...that Obama, incidentally, wants to offer "a path to citiz... Why do I oppose the Obama Health Care plan? Well...let's see:

4. Your private insurer will likely go out of business over time.
Why?
Individuals and businesses can elect the government plan. Since its cheaper (due to subsidies) private insurers with a smaller "head count" (due to siphoning-off of clientele) will eventually become uncompetitive and go out of business...leaving only one option: the government-run health insurance plan.
5. The government will then control 16% - 20% of the US economy if this plan is passed.
Want to make Obama's socialistic dream come true? Then support Obama's plan. Call me nuts, but I REFUSE!!! (more)
Dear Editor:
A couple known to this author recently received a letter from the slumlord they rent from, telling them to vacate the apartment they’ve shared, in downtown Elkton for 6 years, by the end of August. Knowing we have some knowledge of the law the victims of this injustice approached us looking for answers to this dilemma. Your author told them we were not certain whether Landlord/Tenant Laws in Maryland were the same as they were in New York and 0ntario, where landlords must prove just cause for a legal eviction and provide said resident 60/90 days to vacate aforementioned domicile. What we discovered was both shocking and revolting. In Maryland tenants without a lease can be subjected to what is called in legalese an “Unjust Cause Termination of Residency and asked to vacate said property anytime at the landlords discretion, with only a 30 day notice.
The Unjust Cause Termination of Residency clause clearly favours the owner of private property but, shows no respect for the rights of the individual or regard to personal welfare of the tenant. This case in point brought to our attention by people living below the poverty line, who could legally be made homeless in the very near future through no fault or wron... Health Care
Without health, we are at a loss, equally, regardless of party, wealth, political leanings. Our America must support health care access for everyone as a right. The cost of not doing so is much higher than any other plan.Economy & Jobs
Why don't we simply create a work force similar to the WPA, to work on infrastructure, park projects, and focus the effort on environmental issues; this would put the unemployed and welfare recipients to work: there ain't no such thing as a free lunch!Energy Independence
Senator Boxer, please be at the forefront of the new technology that can revolutionize our green energy desires and power our cars with no infrastructure changes--and that's algae oil--as a bonus, manufacturing it uses CO2. Check out www.sapphireenergy.com for a California company that is ready to start manufacturing--imagine the green jobs!!!!!Civil Liberties
You are obviously in total darkness when it comes to knowing what the people want. The general deserves an apology. You need to know that his job wasn't gotten by paying for it like yours. He earned his position through hard work(real work). You are disgusting in you arrogant posture.Terrorism
Maam be advised,Education
It was suggested I come here and tell this bitch to go fuck herself for demanding being called by her title. Seeing as I've never liked her and am very upset anyone would vote her to represent them.....blah blah blah. MA'AM, you can go fuck yourself.Education
I checked education because she needs to get one.Below is my note to her:
Hey BABS
You are certainly a nervy one to talk down to one of our military as you did the Brigadier General. "Call me Senator."
Do you think that man didn't work hard defending our country to get his title? Do you think that we don't pay your salary and perks?
It would serve you right if your voters voted you out in the next election. You give women in office and high places a dirty name. It's no wonder women have it rough in the world with female genders such as you are.
You owe this man a written public apology on all networks and FOX News included for me to forgive you. We won't ever forget your bullish and "my crap don't stink" behavior to that man in our armed services.
Shame on you.

Just like a gear, to try and turn everyone's internals.I would have to say, that the most basic of all liberties, given to the people of the USA, is also the most neglected, at times.
It is just fine for the Recording Industry Association of America, to take 1.9 million dollars, from a working woman with 4 children, only to later pass that debt down to them, right after they get done grieving over her eventual death.
The Recording Industry Association of America is the trade group that represents the U.S. recording industry?
Words from the mouth of the beast:
“We appreciate the jury's service and that they take this as seriously as we do. We are pleased that the jury agreed with the evidence and found the defendant liable. Since day one, we have been willing to settle this case and we remain willing to do so.”
It is greatly accepted, to punish the children of those who are made example of, by the MPAA and RIAA. Millions of people in this nation download music every day, time for someone besides Apple, to make a profit off of it!
I love the logic behind this unstoppable machine.
I love the facade that is this false utopia, we call humanity.

Economy & Jobs
This answer is the closest...........my REAL concern is the ballooning federal bedget and the national debt. We're spending more than we'll ever have. We're going to put our children, grandchildren, and great grand children in debt as well. Until we get the finances of this country back in order, wipe out the debt, and shrink the size and scope of the federal government down to its Constitutional boundaries, then we have no business promoting or financing any more 'social' programs or imaginary wars.Terrorism
Since you are opposed to receiving respect, ma'am, I will not offend you by offering it. You have brought great shame and much disgrace to your office, "Senator." (And I use the term loosely.) To restore your honor and dignity, an apology followed by your resignation would go a long way. You won't do this, however, because you are too busy putting mileage on your broom. There will be no apology. These elitists believe sincerely they are indeed above the people.
I'm so weary of it.
Military does for us.

Hello Ma'am,Your recent display of character, or lack there of, speaks to us beyond your pathetic political actions. You are indeed an ungreatful, petty, self absorbed wretch.
Not only are you un-American with your push for amnesty, you need a new found respect for the men and women of our military. You are not worthy of serving the public or to be in the same room with any member of our military.
Looking forward to your retirement.
Good day, Ma'am.

Good Evening, Ma'am,You may notice that I use the 'correct' military term. After over 20 years in the US Navy as first an enlisted woman, then earning my commission, it is military protocol to address you with this term of respect.
I haven't heard much from you in the past few years. Most notably, you became silent when your views on illegal aliens was met with stiff opposition and you more or less went underground in promulgating your interest in amnesty for illegals and ensuring federal and state tax dollars were funneled into the education, bi-lingual initiatives, amnesty and social programs for these illegal aliens.
In my opinion, you have more than helped, I'd say, and pushed your state into the financial meltdown it is experiencing.
You speak of civil rights and want to grant rights to those that are in our county illegally. You Madam, are trying to pad your voter base and pander to the likes of "The National Coalition for Dignity and Amnesty" and thus you know you will receive their endorsement and vote.
While the rest of America is losing more rights and the Constitution is being further shredded before our eyes, you waited, Ma'am, like a spider spinning a web for your ideals to come around again with this election.
You cannot be accused of anything except... Good Evening, Ma'am,

You cannot be accused of anything except two faced political hacking. Pandering shamelessly to those that support amnesty while removing the legitimate rights of those Americans and those that chose to come to this country legally.
I've heard many make assertions that illegal aliens are choosing not to come to America because of the financial meltdown seen in America and your state in general.
That simply isn't true. More come, daily with the hope of amnesty and the help of the social programs that this administration is attempting to push on the American people.
It's votes. And you are a part of that. You are looking for votes and are looking after your own political career. Nothing more. (more)
And I appreciate your comments AndyD.
