I was thinking of his entry in to Jerusalem that we celebrate be "Palm Sunday" - the authorities were probably a little miffed by an unofficial holiday. ;)

Actually that is a fallacy invented by a newspaper reporter that wanted to stir up controversy about Darwin's work in order to sell copy.

Darwin's theory (as is supported by the latest scientific evidence and understanding) suggests that it is "Survival of the fastest cooperative adapter"....

In other words "Evolve together or die"
  • say what? JMCC 2012/09/24 23:04:55
    say what?
In that case the fastest cooperative adapter would be the fittest.

In an ant colony only the fittest survive. Get sick or injured and you get thrown out or eaten. And the queen only mates with the strongest male.

They actually take care of their sick, the old ones get lighter "duties". The males that mate are the only ones capable of doing so as they are specifically bred to do so.

No matter how fit it is. an ant is only as strong or healthy as it's hive.

So you think we should have a society like an ant colony?

As far as evolution is concerned I don't think there is a should or should not. If evolution is involved then it is likely to happen naturally and without conscious thought.
  • say what? JMCC 2012/09/25 00:23:30
    say what?
Evolution of governments and human societies is short and has been observed many times. When the government and society "evolves" to the point that they think the government can provide for the society it falls apart. Our founders knew that and tried to prevent it with a power limiting constitution. So much for that.

I agree, yet here is something occurring that is different - mass communication and the sharing of thoughts and ideas at a distance.

It is not telepathy, but it is certainly changing the behaviour of man and influencing the decisions of governments and companies.

If EVERYONE in the world could be selfless it would truly be a paradise here on Earth, however since the world is full of self centered megalomaniacs, Muslime crazies, George Soros wannabes, and NWO lunes, it'll be a long time coming.

Caring for and about others is not selfless; it is the path to happiness. It simply is the best LONG-TERM strategy, prioritizing happiness over pleasure.

There is evidence to support that self-centeredness (egocentric) is self destructive in the long run, would that be a fair analogy to what is currently happening to the US?

selflessness. But I'd need to take a class to explain it to most people in my country.
They're still grappling with what went wrong in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.
