Yeah, I don't think most people realize that prominent Conservatives like Sarah Palin are part of this movement. Others don't overtly embrace it, but they certainly send the dog whistle messages to them in their speeches.

I can't think of a group more completely deluded and more worthy of sustained laughter and ridicule.

But you did leave out another top contender - the people who reject 99% of the world's scientist and accept paid shills from the oil industry to try to deny the fact of anthropogenic global climate change. A hundred years from now, when people are getting their tans on the beaches at Nome Alaska or shopping for waterfront condos in Denver they'll remember the global warming deniers very well, and not very fondly.

I suggest you invest in this future waterfront property in Denver.

IMHO Birtherism should be listed among the diagnoses in the Mental Health version of the ICD9. Their total detachment from reality, their neurosis & refusal to accept factual information while latching on to absurd false documentation that sane people accept is proof positive they are suffering from a mental health disorder.

I think the "birthers" would be the most obvious to draw a belly laugh. But, almost any of the choices would likely cause some head shaking. Taken together, they make a dirge for the Republican Party, the song as it slowly sinks into a morass of bickering and ideological
disputes. From the ashes will likely arise the Libertarians or a Centrist party. Certainly the candidates will be remembered with amusement, particularly Palin, Paul, Perot, and Santorum.

Voting for what history will surely define as the worst President ever, George W. Bush.
But wait! They are not done yet, because the same bunch of idiots are running around trying to put another Republican in the White House. Those that vote Republican tend to have all of the crazy right wing beliefs listed here rolled up into one dumb group of people.

I believe there is a concerted federal effort along with the State of New York to prosecute those who had a big hand in causing the financial meltdown which brought us to our knees.

The OWS is looking for justice, fairness in taxation and an end to the stranglehold the 1% has on this country. Sure there are some fruitcakes amongst the thousands who have participated, there always is, but in essence their cause is a heckuva lot more noble than those carrying placards that say, "Go back to the Jungle".

Sissy I think just the nature of OWS, which is to stay in one place for weeks on end, means it's inevitable that it will attract homeless bums, and nuts. Sure it will attract some kooky people, I saw one guy protesting broccoli or something ridiculous like that OWS does not have a "rally" that lasts a few hours and then they all go home. That kind of demonstration doesn't allow much of a chance for homeless bums and nuts to throw their 2 cents in.
Of course the rightwingers that hate our movement lump the real OWS protestors and the crazies all together, that helps them to villify and discredit it, but OWS is here to stay.
