Iraq was the last country the US invaded. Sure, we got a little clumsy there. We admit that there were no WMD's found and that Saddam had nothing to do with the attack, but we had to go in.
Since then, Saddam is dead, Bin Laden is dead, there are only a few bad guys left in Afghanistan and Iraq has a brand-new country, military, police and government paid for by the generous American taxpayers.
Now, Americans have polled overwhelmingly in support of immediate withdrawl of Afghanistan as well.
Since the Corporate media, the Military Industrial Complex, the Intelligence community, International organizations, foreign lobby groups (aipac) and others are preparing the American people for yet another war in the Middle East...
AND...Since we no longer have a choice about engaging in war, then the people should at least get to pick the target. Here's a short list of countries and why:
CUBA- Because Fidel threatened us over 50 years ago.
VENEZUELA-Because they have oil!!
N. KOREA-Because we find Kim Jong Un's haircut and fashion sense offensive.
GERMANY-Just in case...
VIETNAM-Because we can WIN this time!!
RUSSIA-Because the Cold War never really ended...
IRAN-Because Israel says if we don't fight them, she'll break up with us.
CHINA-Because all U.S. Companies and jobs are going there anyway, lol!!
PAKISTAN & YEMEN-Because we're already drone-bombing them anyway!

+15We need to get our troops the hell OUT of all these countries and focus on our own problems. Pissing off other nations isn't keeping us safe, it's increasing tension and ensuring that countries that already don't like us, hate us more.
With this campaign we can go in and rebuild the infrastructure and work to win the hearts and minds of the people.
Many of the minds have been rusted from lack of use.
The hearts are mostly clogged with cholesterol.
It will be an easy win.
Another speech you may find interesting, if you haven't already heard it - it this one. If memory serves me correctly, he gave this speech after he vetoed the Fairness Doctrine, which came to his desk by his OWN party. Interesting, in that context.

with the economy the way it is and with veterans being among the most unemployed among us, they'll keep them stationed abroad where they won't add to the horrible employment statistics.
During "the troubles" in Northern Ireland, British armed forces ( as much as 30,000 at one point ) were held at bay by just a few hundred people with local knowledge and a mish-mash of rifles and pistols.
Imagine if every dictator had 300 million downtrodden civilians ready to fight back.
That is not the kind of thing the U.S government can win?
