I don't know if they are all too liberal for me, I would have to find out before I voted for any of them!

I thought I was going to say that I would choose Oprah, but I would have to watch the campaign strategy first. I would prefer someone more involved with government affairs -- with positive feedback.

Why don't you have a Repubican in your choices? But it would not matter to me becuase celbrities have no place in politics. Slightly more than half of the nation voted for a celebrity in this election and you will see within the next four years that you voted wrong when you voted for the superstar.

I doubt any of them would know what to do in office. they are too far off in their own worlds

None are qualified to be president. They're actors...Acting is what they should be doing.

Celebrities, such as those listed above, belong in front of the camera, not behind the Oval Office desk. Most of theirs ideas come from grandiose ideas that are not unlike the movies they make. They have just as much right to run for POTUS, but I don't believe they're concious of what the realities are for people who are not part of their elite caliber. They pretty much live in a 'la-la land' and have either forgotten or choose to forget what it's like to live paycheck to paycheck or on a modest income. Some, not all, are like that.

Other than their tv or movies, I don't want to hear from them.

None. Don't you know that Washington is Hollywood for ugly people? The twain shan't meet. Seriously, actors have enough to do memorizing lines and changing their personae at the drop of a hat. Being popular and good-looking don't constitute credentials for the presidency, at least not of this country.

bill murray seems like someone honest, he has a sense of humor, and other countries might take him seriously. george clooney is hot, but he's a bleeding heart democrat, and me no likey.

While talented in their own fields none of the above candidates are qualified to be President of the United States.

He has already spoken before congress on issues that are important to him on at least one occassion and did an admirable job. He is politically savy.

No celebrities in the white house please unless they are obviously well qualified in the areas of foreign policy, immigration, education, health care...celebrities have "cult like" followings. Do we really want a president who has this type of following?...it gives them too much "power" and goes to their head!

I would not vote for a celebrity. I would vote for someone who heads up a non-profit organization. If the choices were the founder of PETA, the director of Defenders of the Wilderness, the Sierra Club, Naral, Greenpeace, ASPCA, then you would get me to vote for them.

Celebrities should stick with what they are good at. Do not get into politics. Look how Arnold is doing as California's governor.
  • prplehaiz 2008/11/12 01:54:11

Actually, my first choice was Homer Simpson, but I figured the president-elect should have human flesh and bones. Angelina has come a long way and I think as far as international issues are concered, she may have one-up on many politicians that have held office in the past.
