Where are all the jobs the Republicans promised ?

Che - PWNED Cons February 08, 2011 16:00:17
The Republican and Teabaggers made a lot of promises in the 2010 elections. Now that they have been elected it seems they have forgotten most of them. I feel it is my job as a "True Blue All American" to remind them of said promises and hold their feet to the fire.

Here are a few of the promises the Republicans made:

-To put America back to work
-To eliminate Welfare
-To eliminate Social Security
-To eliminate Medicare
-To eliminate Medicaid
-To win the war in Afghanistan

What have the Republicans actually done since they were elected ?

1. Insured the Rich would get Tax Cuts
2. Tried to repeal medical care for poor children

If they aren't keeping the promises they made in the 2010 election, should we believe anything they tell us in 2012 ? Where are the jobs ?

Those promised jobs are being kept in EXACTLY the same place as all the jobs created by the Bush tax cuts over the last decade - you know, the jobs created by the rich because their taxes are at the lowest rate ever.

tax cuts decade jobs created rich taxes lowest rate trickle down

Where, indeed? Akin to Pelosi's staement of waiting to see what is in ObamaCare after it is passed, the Repugs will have us wait until we vote for them to show us a plan...I say they are as F.O.S. as they were in 2010 with the Pledge to America...Left empty handed.

Mate, the government cant make jobs. Jobs have gone overseas and unless the laws are drastically changed to force manufacturing to happen inside the US, the jobs aren't coming back. Just gotta adapt.

They have not been able to repeal all of the democrats horrible job killing bills. Remeber they have one house.

By the way, don't pretend you give a darn about poor children. You are complaining about "tax cuts for the rich" but you sure aren't complaining about the tax cut you got. You are like every other democrat, you just want free stuff off the backs of others. You use you mob tactics to gang up on a minority to steal from them and somehow pretend as you care about anyone but yourself. You do not fool anyone.

the government (unless they are jobs in the public sector) doesn't create jobs. so the promise to fix the economy on a whim from both parties is false......however the government can try to create jobs by reducing small business taxes and crusifying corporations that outsource and that evade taxes. also reducing inflation can do alot.

The goveynemment can do much to spur job creation. They can place tariffs on goods that are imported making it cheaper to manufacture goods in the US. They can also give incentives to companies that manufacture goods in the US. They can penalize companies that outsource US jobs also. There is plenty that government can do to help job creation.

    >>>>>What have the Republicans actually done since they were elected ?

    1. Insured the Rich would get Tax Cuts ... BS number one, they insured that no one got a tax increase. They allowed people with high incomes to be able to continue to employ workers that they may have had to let go if their taxes went up.

    2. Tried to repeal medical care for poor children ....... Obama care has caused children to no longer be offered health insurance unless they are on their parent's plan. AND, we already have SCHIP programs and other welfare plans to take care of "poor" children. We had these before Obamacare.

    a question here .....

are these the same ones that was prosissed by obama "the dems " during his campaign ?

and the ones he admittedly lied about to get elected "now live with it " ???

so the million dollar question is if & when are these jobs gonna be created ?

I know the answer so save all your breath ........ NO..............

and the repubs did promise gainfull jobs to get elected ... again remember , the repblicans are out for businesses / huge labor pools / and huge corporate profits (how else do they get their campaign contributions ) ?

again folks "and ya all are getting tired of hearing " well reading this "

for the past 150 yrs ,this nation has been under reigns of the dems / repubs and are we as a nation & people any better off ? NO ....... the govt has been a good mentor though .... we are as a people & nation deeper in debt .. this is what we've been taught ..... tremendous role models !!!

I'd love to have a full time jobs affordable health benefits , " the american dream ! " for now I gratefull to have a part time jobs and just hope I dont contract a terminal illness ..............

For most of the past 70 years, the U.S. economy has grown at a steady clip, generating perpetually higher incomes and wealth for American households. But since 2000, the story is starkly different.

The past decade was the worst for the U.S. economy in modern times, a sharp reversal from a long period of prosperity that is leading economists and policymakers to fundamentally rethink the underpinnings of the nation's growth.

It was, according to a wide range of data, a lost decade for American workers. The decade began in a moment of triumphalism -- there was a current of thought among economists in 1999 that recessions were a thing of the past. By the end, there were two, bookends to a debt-driven expansion that was neither robust nor sustainable.

There has been zero net job creation since December 1999. No previous decade going back to the 1940s had job growth of less than 20 percent. Economic output rose at its slowest rate of any decade since the 1930s as well.

Middle-income households made less in 2008, when adjusted for inflation, than they did in 1999 -- and the number is sure to have declined further during a difficult 2009. The Aughts were the first decade of falling median incomes since figures were first compiled in the 1960s.

The last time a Republican Congress decreased the national debt was in 1947
And this was under Truman. I am amazed that Republicans are considered fiscally conservative and good for business. As for jobs they are too busy killing health care that will never pass the Senate.

The economy has also done consistently better under Democratic presidents -- inflation, unemployment, GDP etc.

The myth of Republicans being good for the economy mystifies me.
