I technically can't be drafted. Too many medical problems to be put in infantry. Maybe something behind lines... computer shit.

we all know who will be drafted, mostly the poor kids, who don't have a good job, or can't afford a college degree....

Those of military leadership who were young officers during the last draft DO NOT want to see its return. As a friend of mine, a 4 star last known to be at SHAPE said, "I don't want my Junior Officers to have to look over their backs ever other minute like we did."

Aside from the fact that it would be party-wide political suicide.

Besides, Canada has already stated that in the event of a draft. Its borders will be closed to all U.S. citizens. Have fun in Mexico!

I debated this myself when I faced my draft notice in 1969. I was considering going to Canada because I didn't want to be sent out to kill people. I think I was young enough I still thought of myself as immortal so I wasn't afraid of dying. I prayed about it, and while reading my scriptures in Ezekiel, the Lord spoke to me and said, "Join the Army". Since it was His word, I went down to the Army recruiter's office in town. They gave me a book full of job descriptions and had me pick one out. I chose 41K20-Reproduction Equipment Repairman. When my training was through they sent me to Okinawa to repair offset printing presses. I didn't have to kill anybody.

The only advice I would give anyone else is to ask God and find out what He wants you to do.

If I hadn't enlisted, I might have been passed over. I never could get a legitimate passing score on the Physical Training tests, and I had flat feet since I was little. Dad was 4F because of his diabetes.

Yeah, I have very bad eyesight, minor asthma and heart problems so I don't think I'd do well on the front lines lol.
