I don't think so. That hasn't been given a name. A revolution is within a country, not one country against another.

What a bunch of morons! Every comment with one exception (katywon) on this poll so far is from lost in place friggin idiots!
I'll bet there is not one of you that has witnessed a death or dealt with a fatality clean up. It's nothing like your stupid little bullsh*t fantasy! Something you don't get from watching TV or playing your mindless pretendo video games is the smell! That alone would snap you back to reality and have you pissing all over yourselves. Get real!

You would be wrong.... and yes, there are many who are ready to roll, if that's what it takes.

Please find all the people on both sides who want to shoot it out, roll out to the desert and have at it. We have a great country with some real issues and killing each other will ruin it.

Maybe because I don't want it to ever happen. We need to stay a free country and truly integrate everyone who lives here now and tomorrow. We are all travelling to the same destination. So we have to make it a good trip and no fighting.

You know what? I agree with you! Does that include what Obama wants to do to us? Why else would he supply his "army" (Homeland Security, TSA, etc) with 450 million rounds of .40 cal hollow point ammo? Those aren't the ones you use for target practice, you know....

I have not heard this, but assuming it is true the unfortunate reality is that it is probably because someone he likes sells .40 cal hollow point ammo.

Integrating is not always the cause of a revolution. There are several other reasons which have caused many revolutions in the past, and any one of those reasons may spark another revolution here in the US. Number 1 cause is Overreach of the Government into controlling people's personal lives and choices. It was for that cause that the farmers and commoners of the Colonies fought the English Empire for our freedom from their control. This is where we are headed right now, and if things get much worse in the near future, there is likely to be a revolt (revolution) of the people for infringement of their rights.

And since we are all living here, YES we will all arrive at the same destination, but WHAT that destination is, is what matters most to me.

You must be too young to know what a free America really was. It is no more. I get so tired hearing about our troops in foreign lands "fighting for our freedom", then they return home to find a dictatorship.

It will occur in our lifetime (50 years)and it will start over the economy and the illegal income tax, coupled with the continued governmental attacks on our religious beliefs.

A revolution will accomplish nothing unless we change to a sustainable economic system, if we have a revolution around the world, and maintain the current economic system that's in place, we'll be back where we are now in very little time because this is the nature of this cancerous economic system.

We need to get rid of the monetary system, get rid of monogamy, and get rid of feminism.

What to replace those with? A technological egalitarian economy, and sexual freedom for all, and giving women equal responsibility!

But I can't wait it'll prob be more like a civil war then a revolution though

Remember, had the South been successful that would have been a war for independence not a civil war.

Yes, it is very likely that what is actually being contemplated by most here would be a civil war that would result in a fragmented, weaker, former US of A but with their region adhering more to their own personal values. But that is very likely not the outcome that they would get
  • Metaldane story101 2012/06/18 04:54:43

Actually it would be a rebellion for it to be a war independence that'd have to be a territory or separate country it was a rebellion because they broke away form their country and formed another there is a slight difference in classification but your right on the point you were trying to make. As for what it'd be like what would happen would be mostly lots of little groups rebelling all over the place and if the government didn't squash them it'd turn from one country into a dozen or more unless someone invaded and took them out at least that what I'd guess

The closest we came was the late 1960s and early 1970s.
That took The Establishment by surprise but still got quashed.
We got civil rights and women's lib out of it, though.
Today, The Establishment is much better prepared for any signs of insurrection.
Now I doubt it will ever happen, especially considering the fact that as long as the average American has enough food on the table to keep them alive, they may not be happy with the way things are running, but they will likely stay complacent enough to take a fatalist attitude about it:
"Oh well, things could be better, but at least I'm not starving."
When it gets to the point they are starving, they'll be too weak to do anything about it.

    Don

The problem is that after most revolutions, despite all the grandiose promises that were made, the new government was even worse than the old one.

They're doing that to entice us into revolt. It's PLANNED that way. If we hit the straw man instead of the real power elite, they'll just win faster.
