Isn't it crazy how you can phrase a question so as to imply a falsehood?
Why, if I didn't know better, I would have read your question and come to the conclusion that the government was in some fashion restricting the ability of Catholics to worship.

No one is forcing Catholics to use contraceptives, not even the government. But when a Catholic employer wants to rid the Romney/Obama Care law that provided contraceptives to the employees then they are the one forcing their religious ideology on the employees.

There are other religious groups besides Catholics. Catholics can worship as they like, provided it doesn't interfere with other people's rights. The Obama administration can worship as they like, as well.

I believe the church has a right to their beliefs, but if jobs weren't so hard to come by I would say that employees should look elsewhere for employment. But seeing as it is so hard to find jobs then I think the Church should come into the 20th century.

You don't have an understanding of what the issue is. The subject isn't the bad aspects as you perceive them of the Catholic church.

I don't think the church is bad when it comes tothis issue. I just think they need to adhere to the time. 99% of the catholic women take birth control, if they didn't there would be multitude of big families and there aren't. So if the church refuses to see whats right in front of the face then they are pretending to be blind like they were with the child abuses by their priest. There are not many couples who could afford not taking birht control.

with all due respect, when were you elected pope?

alternatively, would you, as the gov't, tell orthodox Jews that they must start eating pork? or tell muslims women that they must NOT wear the burkha in public?

its not your, or Obama's, call.

I was raised Catholic and my parents had fourteen kids, I'm the 14th child(7 boys,7 girls) so I respect the Catholic Church but lets get real, does the church actually believe all those families sitting in Church every Sunday practice the rhythm method. They chose to turn a blind eye to that instead of facing reality that people dont and can't afford large families and are taking steps to prevent that and not by the rhythm method.

i'm not catholic. i don't really care about the fact that you guys HAVE a catechism. i have a BIG problem with the gov't making a determination that THAT catechism is subject to the GOV'T'S whim.

i wonder why the gov't doesn't go out and tell EVERY religion that there is no dispensation. that they MUST participate in Obamacare!

(shrug) you tell your priest that you support Obamacare, with all its gov't enforcements on the religion of your parents. go on. tell him. maybe he'll take a blind eye to you.

I am agnostic but from my assessment I can easily see that freedom of religion is only accepted by the Progressive/Communist 0WEbama administration and his fellow Progressive PIGS if it is the Muslim religion.

0WEbama and the PIGS that worship him have the same political ideology as the Muslim extremists.

We all have to stand up for religious freedom. My ancestors came here to worship as they please and to escape persecution. It starts with a drip but the Obama administration has opened the dike!

This many? Do these many people not see this? I don't care if they aren't a fan of the Catholic church. I'm totally fine with that. But what's bothersome is that they think oppressive government is the solution to a religion they wish to do away with. These people are going to get the government they deserve if Obama is re-elected. This is frightening.

Neither, actually. I don't believe in the concept of worship as it pertains to an ideology or an institution. But at least Obama and his Administration don't habitually rape innocent little boys for decades, and then transfer the offenders to new locations to escape indictment.

With all due respect sir, this is my question and my poll. If you have a problem with me responding to your asinine comments or if you have a problem with someone making you look like an ignorant stooge because you prefer to attack a religion instead of defending the first amendment from tyrannical government, well, jerk, that will get you blocked even faster!

I know you love to try and split hairs when the facts don't support your argument, so you can go ahead and have the last word if you want. I still stand my both of my statements. When you talk about the freedom to worship, you're talking about the institution as much as its membership.
