When Exactly Did Barack Obama Renounce Communism?

Why would he? With Frank Marshall Davis as a mentor, of course he ends up a Marxist.

He is NOT a MARXIST. He is a COMMUNIST plain and simple.

About the same time he renounced Islam and ceased being a hard core racist. This tied in with his evolved commitment to be a flag waving American, staunch believer in free enterprise, and a die hard anti labor union advocate.

The USSR was a noble experiment and We should follow China's example. That and Che Guevara was a Hero. Same old liberalism/socialism wrapped in a fancy focus grouped poll tested package.

He never did, Obam never expressed remorse for the Marxist views. His is very close to Elizabeth Warren who specks glowingly of Mao and Communist China's policies.

I can not understand how people can not see that he is a communist. He just has given to many hints to what he really is and how he thinks.

I didn't get that memo.

He is a progressive that has great faith in a socialistic agenda that has never worked anywhere--and yet he rails at the trickle down economics which has actually worked!

Because I've read comments on this elsewhere for once I read comments before adding my own here. One thing I'd like to address is a non relative comment below about you don't have to renounce something to give it up. To renounce is done by the use of words. But as we all know actions speak louder than words. A person can claim anything but their actions will show their true self. Obama acts as a communist.

Anyone who can't see it in nearly every maneuver he makes is either ignorant about communism or a blind follower who practices willful ignorance - either way - they are ignorant.

B-H0's belief and action toward redistribution of other people's wealth is all anyone needs to know in order to know he is a communist. All of the other information acts as a "kicker" backing it up.

I knew it the minute he ran into Joe the Plumber and made his comment about spreading the wealth. That is Classic Marxism - communism - what ever - as discussed below, why split hairs when we are talking about the same basic principles.

I am sure FOX noise didn't cover it.

Obama has pretty much stayed on the same military track as Dubya ... Obama is a bit more civil libertarian, but he's a politician ... i'm voting for him, though ...

I have at times found myself on SH reluctantly defending President Obama. For example I am not a birther and I think most birther arguments are ridiculous. I say reluctantly because I would like nothing more (out of the upcoming election) than for President Obama to lose the upcoming election. I have never been a supporter of his nor will I be.

I do find myself interested in this question. There is no question that at least during a period of time during his college education he did indeed espouse Communism. I did not read his books so perhaps it is included in one of those but I do not ever recall reading online anyone mentioning when he did make his conversion from Communism to Capitalism. I'm pretty sure (please correct me if wrong) he currently claims to believe that a mostly capitalistic mixed market is the best economic system but I would like to know when and what changed his mind? Was it a slow realization due to an increasingly sophisticated education? Was it a specific moment as the author of the linked article alludes to? What changed his mind?

This is a question I would like an answer to if anyone has one.
