Microsoft says this on its Website:
Wondering if you should buy a new PC or wait for Windows Vista (which will be broadly available January 30, 2007)? We can tell you: The time to buy is now!

- Grumps 2007/01/30 02:21:23My next computer+1There's no need to upgrade so soon, the new features are not "must-haves", only "may-wants". Not to mention, I heard that Vista is a killer on your memory, so waiting to upgrade until I purchase my next computer will reduce my overall upgrade costs because I would have to buy new memory to support the new features.reply
- e 2007/01/28 08:26:29Never. I don't use Windows+1It's amazing to me that Windows still has such a strangle hold on the personal computing industry. I've gotten so sick of dealing with the hassle of Windows that I now recommend the people just get a mac for their next computer. I myself will probably be sticking to linux for the forseable future.reply

+1Did you always recommend Mac? Did you recommend Macs before Mac OS X? Do you think that MSFT cannot change or offer something good with their 8 millions lines of code?reply - Tom 2007/01/28 03:42:42None of the above+1Only when I can no longer find support for the XP installs at the house, I can not find a viable Mac and there are no linux distros that I get set up for my family to use. Linux is getting closer to a clean desktop environment. Within two years there will be desktop enviroments that are usable by households. I can't wait to be free from uncle bill. Mac is a truly inviting household environment with the exception of cost.reply

My next computer+1I don't like upgrading software. Windows XP works fine for me. My wife says I just don't like change... I don't like spending time installing software! Though, I've heard great things about Vista.reply
