According to the article in The Nation Mr. Romney has company's that are owned by him which are registered in Bermuda. He is still on the payroll at Bain. He has never in the past EVER released his tax returns but has released a tid bit now for the Presidential Campaign. If you go back and look at his replies to the question about taxes since he first started to run it was always a tease. He "might" release them, he " will think about it," he has already released some and "maybe he will release more" He has danced around the subject for months. Maybe then he has made a calculated assumption that not releasing the tax returns might make him look bad but releasing them might be the end of his chances once the public sees where his true loyalties are.

Google Romneys financial disclosures..............they are all there on the internet for those that have questions.

I think Mitt Romney should bite the bullet and release them.

If indeed he has used Tax avoidance schemes and loopholes which are legal, then he should have the courage of his convictions that justify there use is not immoral,

That way the public would be able to demonstrate whether they agree.

Who cares what he has in offshore accounts?

The money was taxed for the year it was earned and it's not against the law to transfer funds to a financial institution of your choice.

What difference would it make if he purchased a dozen tropical islands instead?
And NO,.... he hasn't said he 'MIGHT' release his 2011 return, he said he 'WILL' release it after it is completed and filed with the IRS.

Fact is, he hasn't violated any campaign laws and it really isn't anyone's business.

Who cares what his Father or others have chosen to do?
It's not some standard followed by everyone ,..... certainly not any of the three Kennedy's who had more skeletons and shady deals than Forest Lawn.

100% correct and with the reasoning of those that disagree and use Mitts Father as a reason, I guess it is fair for us to look to the beliefs of Obamas father to explain why Obama does what he does.

The might was said when they asked him if he would release more than 2 years.

    Ummm,... NO.
He emphatically said he would NOT release anything mire than the 2010 and 2011.

You'll have to shift to something else which has already occurred.
Now, Proglodytes want to talk about Ryan's 2012 budget plan and keep the conversation off 0bozo's pathetic, abysmal record.

Keep digging, we're 10 steps ahead of you on all of this. It was all anticipated and planned for long ago.

Romney knew Ryan was the guy after they hung out together during the week he was doing primary stops around Wisconsin.

Listen, I am a bit of a news hound junkie and I remember his little giggle that he is prone to when he was asked if you would release more than 2 years and said "I might" but then he had not yet got the nomination and the rest of the crowd had not fallen in step. Now if feels more free to say "NO"

    He still hasn't been nominated.
You're barking up the wrong tree.. Even the prog talking heads have run away from the conversation because too many people were bringing up 0nozo's college records,.

How do you know it was taxed. The question is how much was it taxed?

Whatever the IRS requires. Believe it,.... if there was one zero left off or one misplaced decimal point,.... the WH and DOJ would be all over it, like flies on Mooosechelle.

Romney has said he has paid his taxes, ...."lots of taxes". If that is true, he would be more than happy to show that he has paid taxes to help support out country's infrastructure, military, education, etc. He would be talking about his taxes non stop.... we would all be sick of hearing him.

But when asked about his taxes, he gets red faced, whiney, and testy. Clearly, Willard has not stepped up with taxes and expects the middle class to carry his load for him. The man is a snake.

Google his financial returns and they will answer all your questions. Year of them are on the internet. You folks are so jealous of success it is mind boggling.

I am not jealous of any person who is a serial flip flopper and liar and shows his ignorant azz in European countries ... who mocked him for days. No, not jealous of Mitt the Twit at all. Romney released one return, showing he paid what secretaries pay. He promised more. Then he promised an " estimate" of 2011. Who the hell wants an estimate his big ticket lawyers cough up.
