Many ideas come to me including covering my eyes. As the train runs on rails and the rails are lifted above the foundation, a victim should be OK if they cover their ears. You'll find that pushers don't mind being pushed over.
Scream and try to get someone to help him. If I had something to hit the pusher with go up and hit him and try to knock him out. Being a senior citizen and female could' do much other than that. maybe if I had my conceal carry permit and gun could shoot him. If allowed to in New York.
Scream like a banshee to get some attention and try to help get them out. If I couldn't do that, thanks to distance or whatever, I'd try to grab the person that did it and get security.
They'd need to pay legally for something like that for sure.
What kind of sicko takes a photo of that! when a man is about to die.
Thats the day I wish i was a cop.
Id try everything i could in the amount of time.
The platform wall was high, maybe if he took a short running leap from the other side.
If that didnt work & no one else was going to help pull him up, I just hope I was strong enough to do it.
If I couldn't stop it from happening I'd do my best to keep hold of the person who did the puntil the police got there. I'd sure as heck let everyone else know about it and hope for some help.
I don't know, maybe I would be afraid to go near the tracks. I do know my first choice would not be taking pictures. Probably I would be calling 911 as soon as I saw a fight starting or as soon as he got pushed. Those people could have called 911 but instead they took pictures what a bunch of jerks!
Being that the person was already pushed, my first concern would be to save the person that was pushed on the tracks. If the person was pushed while the train was passing over the tracks I would assume it was too late to save the person and I would try to aprehend the pusher. If I couldnt get to the puser in time, I would try to get an accurate description of the pusher and call the police.
I would probably call the police or something unless it was someone who I don't like or some person wasting their life away anyway. I would probably be scarred for life if it was someone I knew very well though.
It would depend on who it was being pushed. If it was some scumbag liberal, I'd probably shake the pushers hand. If it was an upstanding decent citizen I would take him down and hold him for police, if he struggled I'd shoot him.
Do what is reasonably possible to stop the incident from calling 911 and requesting help to taking personal intervention. Would not be interested in pretending to be a policeman and arrest the culprit - only stop the possible life threatening act.
I believe there may be two possible intervention points: while they are struggling and after the victim hits the tracks. Intervention during the struggle is a no-brainer, I would also try to pull them up if they were accessible from the platform. I would not, however, jump onto the track in the path of an oncoming train to push them up.
All depends on the situation. If no one is around, I try to take pictures, call police and then try to talk to the guy to whom trying to push the other one in front of the train. but if there are crowds, I try to take picture and call police. Hopefully, he will stop before too late. But that is all one can do really...Can't do much.
whatever I could. Certainly if nothing else possible due to crowds, take photos or film it. And certainly scream loud enough to point and draw attention to the character.
I would watch the attacker and make mental notes as to what they looked like and where they went because I know I will be asked as a witness. Unfortunately there would not be much I could do for the victim, except help bring their attacker to justice.
They'd need to pay legally for something like that for sure.
