What would it take for an American President to be charged with Treason?

TuringsChild 2013/08/03 11:52:05
For the past half dozen Administrations, politicians have been getting more and more brazen in their autocratic attitudes. People have been screaming for their heads for decades now. And yet nothing ever happens. Why? What line do YOU think needs to be crossed before a Tyrant can be acknowledged and removed from Office?
You!

If we can't see tyranny at this stage of the game, we never will. However, I can't help but think that if it were Bush doing the things Obama is now doing, impeachment proceeding would have been begun by now.

"high crimes and misdemeanors" I believe is the qualifier...and unfortunately most of the past half dozen or so Presidents qualify! But, I think Emperor Obama has done the most to BLATANTLY trample the Constitution, bypass Congress and violate the trust of the American people.

And yet nobody does ANYTHING. At what point do the People take matters into their own hands?

Congress has clearly shown that they will do nothing. The People have no role in the Balance of Powers, so most any resistance or rebellion may be called "illegal". Seems that stops most objectors cold -- they hope not to go to jail or some FEMA camp.

Since nothing happened when Obama swore his false oaths, nor when that disaster ZeroCare was passed and signed, another focus point must appear to finally get a beginning of ENUF! Right now we're not seeing one good enough to bring that.

It would be nice if SOMEONE had the balls to pull the plug on the Emperor and his cronies, but he seems to have everyone totally snowed in DC!

yes, indeed, but congress won't and the People have no say.
We may need to make an official Plug-Puller an elected office?

That's why I suggested that it may be the Secret Service's mission to protect the Constitution once the President and Congress have failed to do so. Are the courts too corrupted to give such an order?

It's not at all clear to me just WHO is assigned to that mission, if anyone!

Never forget who runs our so-called "justice system" - the very same government which runs the entire country. Not the People, no way!

Last one forced out was Nixon and he was pardoned by Ford and it was probably the right decision.
Reagan could have been charged with the Iran Contra mess
Bush and his penchant for invading innocent countries
Seems the republicans are the real crooks and traitors.

Reagan was taken advantage of. Easy once Alzheimer's took root. And Clinton had a habit of killing anyone who got in his way.

No, NONE are acceptable. But there is a difference between being taken advantage of and deliberately mocking our government.

Overall, Clinton was a pretty good President. The country was very prosperous. I don't let a blow job define his career.
That said, I liked Reagan also. He was a bit senile, but he was a very nice person and was able to work with and be friendly with both sides of the aisle, I just don't think he was all that great of a President though.
The old Bush was a nice guy, but he should never have been President, he was just over his head in that job.
Little Bush was a disaster from the word go. He is largely responsible for the current sad shape of the country now.
Obama, given an impossible job, has made too many mistakes and has further divided the country to ever be considered a great President.

O.O If you can seriously ask that question, you're probably a lost cause. But no, I'm not just concerned with social issues. I look at how the last SIX President/Emperors have abandoned working for the People and instead begun working for the Plutocracy which bought our govt out decades ago. I want a LOT of changes, financial, military, AND social.

he has to be charged with high crimes and misdemeanors. obama has more than enough on his plate to be charged. this is a political matter though and the house has to bring charges. where are they? party loyalty should have no bearing on upholding the law of the land. shamefully, our govt flaunts the laws for themselves while enforcing them on the people.
time to change a lot of things in d.c. jail obama gif

    I agree, but...
Those sorts of changes are quite impossible these days, as the people must depend on a Congress which appears largely okay with all that has happened or is before us today. It is now up to the People, who are largely sore afraid.

President Obama is a christian!!!! Why did you people raise all that hell about his reverend, and now label him muslim? Is it for effect only? Clearly it's a DAMN LIE! It is not even a credible lie. If any President in recent times should have been impeached... can you say "w"? bush ignored the intel on 9/11. He manufactured a war for profit. He sent our sons, and daughters to their death to make money. Why wasn't that a problem for most of the republiCANTs? Hell all of america? A gallon of gas tripled under the bush admin. You don't think that was strange, and the bush family is in the oil business, with the bin ladens as partners???

The Obama regime has total control of the government, the SCOTUS and the media. He could rape and kill a child on national TV AND GET AWAY WITH IT. There will be no charges of treason or anything else. It is up to We The People to mete out justice. Revolution or civil war, take your pick; it's the only way to be rid of this regime.

Dude, the Corporate Lamestream Media may see him as the best, but that's not saying a whole helluva lot. Out of two Bushes, a Clinton, and an Obama, there isn't a whole lot of 'virtue' anyway. I'd call it a tossup between Clinton and Bush Sr. But they BOTH sucked in my book. One way or another.
