President Obama, your administration has been heavily criticized for many so called "freedom killing" decisions. The repeal of habeas corpus being one of these examples. What reason do you have for these acts? Please cite specific instances that you feel decisions would benefit the American people. (The specific instances will probably cause lots of problems with his "charismatic" nature.)

YOU HAVE YOUR FACTS WRONG. BUSH SUSPENDED HABEAS CORPUS BACK IN OCT OF 2006. DO SOME HOMEWORK BEFORE 'BEARING FALSE WITNESS' AGAINST OUR POTUS!! NOW THAT YOU KNOW BUSH DID IT, I SUPPOSE IT WILL BE 'JUST FINE'. IT'S ONLY WHEN A DEM DOES ANYTHING, THAT IT'S WRONG, ISN'T THAT YOUR PREMISE?

On Oct. 17, 2006, President Bush signed a law suspending the right of habeas corpus to persons "determined by the United States" to be an "enemy combatant" in the Global War on Terror. President Bush's action drew severe criticism, mainly for the law's failure to specifically designate who in the United Stateswill determine who is and who is not an "enemy combatant."
"What, really, a time of shame this is..."
To President Bush's support for the law -- the Military Commissions Act of 2006 -- and its suspension of writs of habeas corpus, Jonathan Turley, professor of constitutional law at George Washington University stated, "What, really, a time of shame this is for the American system. What the Congress did and what the president signed today essentially revokes over 200 years of American principles and values."

Doesn't matter which political party does it, I don't care. It's the president that does it that I will hold responsible. I don't look at the parties and say,"Oh, democrat, I'm going to say that they are doing awful." Democrats do amazingly good things sometimes and Obama has done some good things in his term. But he has made some huge mistakes that I am afraid threatens my rights and I would like my fears to be addressed in some way instead of people saying, stupidly, incorrectly, that I have problems with him just because he was a democrat. If you knew my voting history and my political outlook, you'd know how silly that was. I hated Bush and I trust the majority of the Republican candidates even less than I trust Obama with these kinds of power displays.
Through the National Defense Authorization Act, Obama suspended the writ of Habeas Corpus this year. I do not support that from a republican or a democrat. And the National Defense Authorization Act takes things even further than just an "enemy combatant". For one who says I must do my homework, you should do your own.
I'm not like the rest of you Dem or Republican pures that get so behind one party or another that I don't see the faults that one side has. I actually lean more Democratic than Republican most of the time bec...

I actually lean more Democratic than Republican most of the time because of the fear of the abuse of power that I think that most Republicans will do to hurt my rights as a lesbian to be able to live as an equal citizen of the united states.
There was no need to respond to my post in such a heated rage. My question was and still is a valid question.
I hope in the future we can discuss this manners in a civil manner.

I feel that that would be a wasted question. If you feel so truly passionate, you should ask him about a single event of his supposed hypocritical nature.
Of course, if he was a truly eloquent person anyway, he would address your concern anyway, despite the fact that you asked in a way that would be a bit too vague.
If I were him I would respond with,"Well tell me what you think I've done that is hypocritical, and we can have a discussion about it. I'll explain to you everything about what I've done, and if you don't agree with it, you'll still have your American right to call me a hypocrite. What do you say?" Of course, no politician would act this way because they fear criticism reaching the public ear too much.

I would like to ask him why he lies in every speech; lies that are so easy to look up and debunk.
