    The Aging Yankee Liberal Douche
we were the ones who believed minimum wage should be raised. part timers should be paid more fairly. obamacare might not be perfect, but at least it tackled some of the holes to our healthcare system has now. Social security, the peace corps, and equal races and gender's rights to vote were thanks to the liberals. what have the conservatives preached? tax cuts for the rich and tax increases on the middle and working class... like that's gonna help the economy. same sex marriage ban, pornography and masturbation ban, abortion ban, and the patriot act. now a couple of these things havent happened, but im sure if the right was to get their way they would do all of those things that i mentioned.

Other than achieving perversions such as subverting the Constitution, dominating our education system with government and labor union control to produce ignorant and highly propagandized youth, a very high unemployment rate, a very stagnant economy, the takeover of the medical sector of the economy with much increased costs and degraded medical care, the minimization of the many benefits of our incredible fossil fuel bonanza, a huge increase in the national debt, large tax increases, and a huge rise in the number of people on welfare, they have achieved nothing. But, isn't all that evil-doing quite enough? Apparently not. The ignorant and the conned majority want four more years of it.

President Obama condemns the ant and blames President Bush, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope for the grasshopper's plight.
Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share. Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer. The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate
number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper. The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant’s food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn't maintain it.
    .
The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again. The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous and once peaceful, neighborhood.
*The entire Nation collapses bringing the rest of the free world with it.*

    1. The Democratic Party successfully blocked anti-lynching laws in 1922, 1935, and 1938.
    2. Woodrow Wilson segregated the Civil service.
    3. Franklin Roosevelt interned 120,000 people, many of them American citizens solely on the basis of their race.
    4. The Democrat-controlled 81st Congress passed the McCarran Act with its "Emergency Detention" or 'concentration camp' clause.
    5. A noted Democrat called for making the mere act of joining the Communist Party a felony - Hubert Humphrey.
    6. A noted Democrat failed to vote or 'pair' for the censure of Senator Joseph McCarthy and also voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1957 - John F. Kennedy

It's really a 'misdirection ploy' as they no longer refer to themselves by their party (Dumbocrats) but use 'liberal' and 'progressive' in an attempt to garner credit for anything and everything positive regardless of whose achievement it actually was and make an effort to claim anyone to the right of Joe McCarthy as one of their number.

It makes them feel good, and they have a right to vote their choice, it just didn't HELP OUR COUNTRY this time. The punch line? I think you'd find the majority of today's Republicans are like me and could be classified as "Rockefeller/Kemp" Republicans. We're fiscally conservative and reasonably liberal when it comes to government social programs. We just expect to see a measurable return on the taxpayers' investment.

The first thing that has to be accomplished, though, is a return to fiscal sanity and that the citizenry require BOTH parties to quit spending like a bunch of drunken sailors.

And I think the only way to do this is to increase taxes on the rich to what they were under clinton, cut the military industrial complex by 50%, and end the war on drugs. Think only increasing taxes on the rich has a chance of happening anytime soon.

Unfortunately, that'll only provide a drop in the bucket. All programs need to be on the table.

It will be more than a drop in the bucket. Anyway I am unwilling to consider any cuts to social programs until these two areas are done first. Tired of having my taxes pissed away on crap.

NO, the rich ARE THE ONLY ONES paying, any tax at all, and then they pay TWICE on the same income, with form Alternative Minimum tax. The almost, 50%, those 47/49%, need to pay something, or at least NOT receive any 10,000 a year BACK, from those 'rich' people's taxes. Miltiary needs to stay strong. Cutting military, also means CUTTING FOR THOSE VETERANS. You don't want to hurt our veterans, do you? This would. End war on drugs? You mean pot? Why? Are you a pothead? Any mind altering drug, is BAD for you.
Taxing the rich, is NOT the answer. It is cutting wasteful spending, like obama going on a 4 million dollar vacation on our tax dollars. I think, they have BOTH traveled enough ,,,,,at this time in our economy. Obama, said for us to tighten our belts ; I think, HE NEEDS TO DO THE SAME THING. Not right/ or fair.
HE, is one of the WEALTHY,,,,worth over 20 million and just bought another home in Hawiii for 35 million dollars. I think, he can give US citizens a break. He also, took tax credit of $1,612.00 on his tax return, for his 2 kids going to an expensive private school, cost almost 50,000 for one year. HOW, is HE SHARING THE WEALTH?

the drug holds some particular toxicity for the developing brain.=MJ Teens who routinely smoke marijuana risk a long-term drop in their IQ, a new study suggests.
Plus, regular smoking issues, with lung, second hand, third hand smoke.

ya ya ya, heard this all before. Just remember the last time a republican balanced the federal budget taxes were just a bit higher than anything that is being proposed now.

Well if the military needs to stay "strong" pay your taxes then. Don't bitch about some poor slob not paying anything, you just make sure you pay your taxes and since you think the military is so good, pay a bit more. Ok?

Wasteful spending is found in the military and in the war on drugs. Those are the areas that need to be cut and cut drastically. A retired military officer wrote a book where he claimed the military budget could be reduced 40% and it would result in a stronger military. I find it amazing so called conservatives always claiming government cannot do anything right but are willing to give a blank check to the military. ah just a bit hypocritical. lol

I wonder what so called "conservatives" have given us? After Nixon, not much. Lets see Reagan gave us an obsolete plane, GWBush gave us two wars based upon lies and the end of balanced budgets. Republicans led us into most of the economic meltdowns this country has faced. Way to go phony conservatives.
