What kind of man lies about the facts of his wife and baby girl's death for political gain?

Okay, I've never liked Joe Biden, even before he ran for President or as Obama's VP. But I have new contempt for him, not because of his idiotic performance at the debates but because on more than one occasion he has claimed that his wife and baby daughter were killed by a man drinking. Sad story, right? Well, it's not true! His wife, baby daughter and both sons were in a car driven by his wife, she apparently pulled out in front of a semi. The driver of the truck tried to avoid her and rolled his truck in the attempt, killing Biden's wife and daughter and putting both boys in the hospital. Fortunately both boys survived without permanent damage. That was 1972.
Fast forward and he's telling people on the campaign trail this story...
"Let
me tell you a little story," Mr. Biden told the crowd at the University
of Iowa. "I got elected when I was 29, and I got elected November the
7th. And on Dec. 18 of that year, my wife and three kids were Christmas
shopping for a Christmas tree. A tractor-trailer, a guy who allegedly -- and I never pursued it -- drank his lunch instead of eating his lunch,
broadsided my family and killed my wife instantly, and killed my
daughter instantly, and hospitalized my two sons, with what were thought
to be at the time permanent, fundamental injuries."
And this after 9/11...
To
the loved ones of the victims [of 9/11], there is nothing really we can
say to erase this tragedy. And, those of you who think it's
presumptuous of me to say that ... in a different circumstance, I got
one of those phone calls. I got one of those phone calls like Davis
Sezna got. I got a phone call saying, "Your wife's dead; your daughter's
dead." And I've only said that three times in public before. But, I say
it here because it's so important for you to understand. I got one of
those phone calls. It was an errant driver who stopped to drink
instead of drive and hit a tractor-trailer, hit my children and my wife
and killed them. It wasn't an airplane, but it was a phone call:
"They're dead." And, I can tell you from experience, and some of you
can, too, that feeling that inside your chest is a black hole and you're
being sucked inside it. I know from experience there's nothing in the
near term we can do to bring solace, relief or peace to those people.
The driver died in 1999 and his family is devastated that their father is being portrayed as a drunk who killed Biden's wife and child. Is there anything more despicable than that?

+20only letting a young girl drown in a car while you run home and cover your own arse! liberals are famous for these things! the very basis for their ideology is FOR THE GREATER GOOD. which means they are ready to sacrifice anyone for the greater good! biteme's reasoning is since they are dead they might as well serve the cause.
I'm not implying that Mrs. Biden was responsible, it's clearly on record that she pulled out in front of the semi! Your BS indignation is right up there with your malignantly narcissistic VP and sad excuse for a human being!
I always am amazed at people who follow with such sycophantic obsession that they refuse to see reality.
This whole situation with Biden and Dunn was a tragedy, one that a number of Americans deal with on a daily basis and one in which everyone deals with in their own manner. Who are we to judge Biden or the Dunn family.? Each family suffered in their own way and I believe each family will always feel the pain from the events that occurred in 1972, but this issue isn’t for us to judge or talk about like it is a current court case. Prior to the 1980s, the legal limit for alcohol in drivers was .10 -.15. Only since the 1980s, has it been .04. It would therefore have been impossible to judge whether the driver of the truck was drunk or not by today’s standards and totally reasonable to suspect that he might have been.
In my wildest imagination, I cannot imagine how I would feel if in a split second l lost my wife and 18 month old child and two sons were admitted to the hospital?
There never was an indication that the man was even drinking, much less drunk. I worked in an ER in the early 70's and am quite aware of blood alcohol levels. All the witnesses at the accident told the same story, she pulled out in front of him and wasn't looking at the street. The officer on the scene said there was no indication that he had done anything wrong or was drinking.
There was never any mention that the guy was supposedly drunk until 2001, 29 years after the accident. This is all on record, Joe Biden is a pathological liar and always has been. Need you see more examples? I have plenty!
