What is your perspective on the 'National Defense Resourses Preparedness' Executive Order, signed 3/16/12 by your friend and mine, Barack Hussein Soetoro Dunham Davis Obama??

Well it's probably pretty easy to see what I think by the full context of the above question as posed. I believe this is the final nail in the Constitution's coffin. I'm sure many will say, 'no' along with a negative reaction consisting of something along the lines of 'how dare I', etc.. But in my opinion, this is VERY serious people. I am afraid Big Brother has reared his ugly head IN TOTAL!! To the naysayers, please just put forth discussion on merit..let's not have a sodahead civil war...at least not yet..lol! I'll brb I have to pick up the new lounging outfit I have my eye on..if martial law is a coming, I'm going in dressed in somthing I like!! (See, we can still deal with these things with some humor, even though they are far from funny..very, very scarey).
You!

Everything I've read on the subject so far indicates this executive order is just a routine update of an existing executive order signed in 1994, which in turn was an update of an executive order signed in 1950. This recent update, I understand, is related to the newly created DHS which wasn't around in 1994. It delegates new authority and responsibility to that department.

The various sources of information that indicate this is just a routine update is not enough to quell my suspicion of this action. There have been recent steps that, together with this step, add up to an alarming conclusion. Orwell's 1984 may soon be upon us, if we are not already in the midst of it.

    Hello, Big Brother.

Yes Max, I agree...This is not going to go well for any of us...I don't buy their routine update so don't worry..story. This latest EO is ominous. I'm afraid, I really am.

The truth is often stranger tnan fiction, but there is such a thing as a self fulfiing prophecy.

If enough people belief something they change their normal patterns of behaviour and the new behaviour is actually what is responsible for making the prophecy come true - especially in things like the economy.

There are now too many people who believe one or more of the following:

    1) The economy will collapse.
    2) The difference between the rich and poor has become to much to be sustainable.
    3) There will be another global conflict.
    4) Western governments may fall.
    5) The Mayan or similar prophecy.

If I were sitting in his chair, I might have done the same thing.

    Hmmm...I wouldn't!! (besides that I agree with #'s 1, 3, 4, and prophesy (and I'm not talking about the Mayan's).

The truth is that if only a few believe and they start to stock pile (as they are with oil and gold) it is enough to kick of 1,2 and 4

We either furiously oppose it at every chance (BE VERY VOCAL) or you can stettle on your knees in your chains and await the glock, but that is silly, you are not worth that slug. Maybe a 22 short pistol held reclose to your skull so you can hear the "POP"

The opposition will be quelled 'en force' so to speak, but I for one will oppose it to the best of my ability!! C'mon Americans..time to wake up!! (prayer wouldn't be a bad idea either). Prepare, prepare, prepare!
