What is your opinion on the fact that our Government pays people to have stupid kids but not smarts one.

Trust me, I hate pulling the Hitler card, but I have to point out that the Nazis started out by picking on the disabled. A lot of their propaganda talked about the disabled costing German tax dollars. I'm not saying that America's going to become a genocidal dictatorship, what I'm saying is that the disabled have as much rights as everyone else, one of those rights being medical help.

You are not understanding the situation, They are physically normal, they just can't get through regular school without extra help. I'm sympathetic to those with mental retardation, downs syndrome, or physical disabilities. They need special care.

Slow kids? What exactly do you mean? Because someone may have learning difficulties or is disabled dosen't make them stupid. I am not sure you can measure the way things are by a couple of people you work with.

Yes that is what I was referring to, learning disabled children. Why should the government give you a check for them and not if they are normal. I find no logic in that. So they have to go to special class big deal.

Because without the right medical attention, they can grow up to be terribly misfit, and will most likely end up homeless and miserable.

They don't have any special medical needs. They just don't do well in school. Even if they had medical needs, why give the parents a check each month when they give them medicaid so all medical bills are covered by the taxpayers?

If this person has children who have learning difficulties, that is a disability and they may need extra help.

Give me an example of why $36,000 of the social security money should be given to the parents of these kids. Their kids go to school, eat, sleep, and play just like my children. I have to work for my $30,000 a year they sit around the house and play video games all day and get $36000/yr from the government because my kids get A's & B's in school and theirs are in special education. I would love to hear a logical explanation why I have to support mine and they don't.

I don't know their particular circumstances but if children have a disability they need extra help. Are you saying that there is nothing wrong with these kids. I didn't say it was fair, but surely isn't better to have healthy kids.

This is part of the problem many people don't even know where the social security money is all disappearing to. The welfare rats and low lifes in society know the system. They love having stupid kids so that they can collect the SSI It's good money and they don't have to work for it. Angi all you have to do to get a paycheck and benefits with out working is get together with someone who is not so smart and have children then make sure they don't do well in school. apply for SSI and you're set til they are 21. To answer the ? of healthy kids what about mine the Govt doesn't give me $ to make sure my kids are healthy. Why if you have goofy kids the govt. worries about their health and not the smart ones?

I understand your frustration and I understand that some people on welfare abuse it. But some people have genuinely difficult problems and have kids with illnesses and disabilities so they might be eligible for more welfare benefits. I don't think as a rule people genuinely want stupid children. Right now all families with children are being hammered and I know we are here, but there are far more people claiming welfare now and it is not because they want to. It may be that you have dealings with some people that work the system, but I do know that everyone is like that.

This isn't welfare, It comes from our social security benefits, the welfare program I understand. This Social security benefit I don't get. you don't have to be on welfare to get these checks. The only criteria is that you have to have kids that are slow or a pain in the ass at school. usually you can get a doctor to say they are ADHD.

Well here benefits or welfare benefits are part of the welfare system so is disability benefits. We have the NHS as well but that is separate to Social Security benefits.

The one situation that I refer to is a case of a woman who use to work but got the kids on the SSI then she was making enough that she quit her job and got married her new husband quit his job and they are trying to have a baby. I'm guessing that will be another paycheck. It bothers me that our government cries poverty yet allows this abuse of our social security system so that I will never be able to collect what I have put in

Yes, I am disgusted and annoyed with the government doing this.....seems everything is backwards...right is now wrong, what was wrong is now right....EVERYTHING is Ass Backwards..I don't know when this happened, but it's really sickening, disgraceful, and very discouraging.

I find it upsetting that there is nothing we can really do. Neither political party will do anything to change things. They have had many chances to change things on both sides and it doesn't happen.
