The Obama magic has faded... That’s no surprise — as that magic was a largely substanceless froth whipped up by campaign consultants and compliant big-media cheerleaders. ...The truth is, Obama wasn’t ready to be president when he ran in 2008... — he himself admitted upon entering the Senate that he wasn’t qualified to be president...

Oh, well... I wish Democrats more of such victories in 2010 and 2012.
Btw, Cristie promised to get rid of Democrat's corruption in New Jersey and to put everybody in jail where they all belong.
Yeah right, Republican governors don't matter.

Republican congressional candidates hold on to a four-point lead over Democrats this week in the latest Generic Congressional Ballot.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 42% would vote for their district’s Republican congressional candidate while 38% would opt for his or her Democratic opponent.
Voters not affiliated with either party continue to heavily favor Republicans, 39% to 23%.
Since late June, support for Republican candidates has ranged from 41% to 44%, while support for Democrats has run from 36% to 40%. Looking back one year ago, the two parties were in a much different place. Throughout the fall of 2008, support for Democratic congressional candidates ranged from 42% to 47%. Republican support ranged from 37% to 41%.

As for why, they lost (in Virginia at least, I haven't looked into New Jersey as much) because of concerns about fiscal policy among the middle. The middle went for Obama in the last elction in New Jersey and Virginia, and they didn't this time. In Virginia, at least, the governor to be ran on fiscal conservatism. If the Republicans are wise, they will look at what he did and go with that next year.

Why did the Republicans lose New York's 23rd district Congressional seat to a Democrat, a seat that they have held for a majority of the time since the civil war?
The Democrats have only held that seat for 24 terms since 1912. The last Republican to hold that seat was Congressman Bill Baker from 1992 to 1996.

Americans want to be pround of their President, and we aren't. We don't want communists in the Executive branch.
