I'm interested in sharing and discussing ideas. I want to interact with people of a variety of outlooks. To debate the merits of ideas.
A few of the things that interest me are public policy, the role of the courts and the Constitution, the variety of experiences of similar and different emotional conditions, people's actions and beliefs thoughout history, the qualities of entertainment and art. Mainly, what is life like, how is it and has it been different for people, how do we decide what is true? What do you think? And most importantly, why?
I'm not interested in seven people all saying, "OMG! I love Fall Out Boy too!" no matter how good Fall Out Boy may be. But something more like, "What is it about the Rolling Stones that makes you enjoy them more than U2?" With details.
I'm not interested in a group all repeating that they love Obama or they hate Obama. And superficial reasons. I'd like to hear thoughtful reasons. I'm interested in why you think certain legislation will pass and what will be the effect of it's implementation.
I'm asking for suggestions where I can find this sort of discussion. What I doneed to do to get involved in and foster this type of conversation? Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Also, sharing this questions with as many people as possible, so as to get as many different opinions to engage with would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Oh, and reason for me loving the Rolling Stones... Hang time. They've been there, making music that feels like my life's soundtrack, since the beginning. Watching them age, while I do. Seeing them still rocking, just like me. Stones, we're in good company. There was a moment when I ran into them, during their first US tour. I was a kid. Keith Richard called me a "Li'ol Sht." Charlie was the most polite. Still a nice memory, so many decades later. Love the Stones.
Nice to meet you.

I don't have any suggestions for you, other than to look for questions that interest you, and people that you find interesting. I find it necessary to weed out a lot of turds in order to find a few gems, in doing this, though. Good luck!

Try starting a private group and invite only people that you enjoy having conversations with. That's the only way that I know of to keep the crazies out.
