What if Rick Santorum today named Jesus Christ as his vice presidential running mate?
> In a bold move that could
dramatically alter the playing field of the 2012 GOP presidential
race, Rick Santorum today named Jesus Christ as his vice presidential
running mate.
> Santorum has made an increasing
number of comments about his relationship with Jesus in recent speeches, but few Republican
insiders expected him to announce that he was anointing Christ as his
vice presidential pick.
> "This could be huge for
Santorum," said Stenson Partridge, a veteran GOP consultant.
"Among Republican voters, Jesus Christ is even more popular than
Ronald Reagan."
> The Rev. Pat Robertson said he was
"blindsided" by the news of Santorum's decision: "I
talked to Jesus last night, and he didn't mention anything about it."
> At a raucous Santorum rally in
Davenport, Iowa, today, supporters of the former Pennsylvania Senator
could be seen holding signs reading
> "SANTORUM/CHRIST '12."
> It is "highly unorthodox"
for a presidential candidate to select a vice presidential running
mate who is a prominent figure in the Holy Bible, says Davis Logsdon,
dean of the School of Divinity at the University of Minnesota.
> But according to Logsdon, if the
Santorum-Christ ticket makes it all the way to the White House, it
could be historic in more ways than one: "If Santorum is elected
and something happens to him while in office, we would be looking at
our first Jewish president."

The birth certificate was not sealed...
"Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a person's enemies will be those of his own household."- Jesus.
