Did I miss something or whatever? Did he drop out and missed the memo? It's always about Romney and Obama, and both are TERRIBLE choices, in my opinion.

Without Ron Paul the election is of no interest to me, the outcome (regardless of who wins in Nov) will not alter anything that is already happening, or in the works. If Ron Paul loses the nomination and doesn't register as a write-in in my State, I will vote for Johnson just to help boost the LP's percentage in the hopes they can garner enough to be automatically on the ballot next election without having to jump through a bunch of ridiculous hoops the Ds and Rs put in place to protect themselves from competiton (I have no illusions that Johnson could win the presidency).
But if Ron Paul takes the nomination, there will be a REAL (and very exciting) race for president with REAL debates on policies, and Obama won't stand a chance at a second term.
The only thing that is going to wake the neocons out of their stupors will be the fema camps.
There are a few events planned during the convention in which Paul is the focus. The main event is the Paul Festival which is being held August 24 through 26, 2012 at the 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheater (formerly the Ford Amphitheater) in Tampa, Florida at I-4 and US 301. The festival is going to include several high profile speakers popular in the libertarian movement including Libertarian Party Presidential nominee Gary Johnson and his vice presidential pick Judge Jim Gray. No doubt they will be making a case that should Ron Paul not win the Republican Party nomination, Paul supporters should support and vote for Johnson on their ballot this coming November 6, 2012 general election to continue the Ron Paul message. Other notable speakers are Peter Schiff, Lew Rockwell, Chuck Baldwin, Thomas Woods, Walter Block, Larry Pratt and several more.
The festival will also include several bands including LA Pussycat, Split Image, Tami Gosnell, Revolution and many more. There is even a national convoy, or Ronvoy as they call it, to get to the festival from all parts of the country.
The two main sponsors of the festival are One vs Many and the Libertarian Party. The Libertarian Party of Florida is currently seeking volunteers to help out with the event and those interested can sign up here. Strangely absent is the Republican Liberty Caucus which is noted as 'the conscience of the Republican Party' and to which they have officially endorsed Ron Paul as their choice for president over Mitt Romney. No doubt many members of the RLC will be attending.
On August 26, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. there will be a Ron Paul Save American Pre-RNC Rally at the USF Sun Dome Arena where Ron Paul is expected to speak and make his pitch to supporters and delegates to make him the Republican Party’s nominee.
Ron Paul could theoretically be the Republican Party’s nominee in place of the widely expected nominee Mitt Romney. If enough Paul delegates vote for him during the convention, then it would be the upset of the century and could put the election in hyper drive with the media.
We will know by the close of the convention on August 30, 2012 whether it is Mitt Romney or Ron Paul who will face Gary Johnson and Barack Obama on the November 6, 2012 general election ballot. http://www.examiner.com/artic... (Links provided in article)
