If President Obama were a college student and his grades were on par with his poll numbers, his parents would be considering yanking him out of school and making him get a job until he was ready to buckle down.
But 18 months into his first term, when asked by CBS’ “Sunday Morning” how he thought he was doing so far, the president gave himself a grade of “incomplete.”
While he has gotten landmark health care legislation passed, nominated one judge (with another in the wings) to the Supreme Court, passed a series of economic stimulus and banking reform bills and possibly saved American carmakers, Obama told the program that the real proof of success will come when the economy has fully rebounded and people are feeling good about it again.
"We still have a long way to go," Obama said, adding that he felt his administration was getting the credit it deserved for its efforts. "People have every right to be scared, to be angry, to be frustrated," he said of the uncertainty of coming out of the worst recession since the Great Depression. "I don't expect the American people to be satisfied when we're only half of the way back."
Ticking off his successes so far, the President offered, “That's not a bad track record."

[...] yeah. old Bill. he did better with the economy at least. I remember that picking up after Bush Sr. put us in a recession. if anyone can bring the economy back, it's probably him. as long as he supports Israel and a restricted abortion.
Excellent post.
I'll never forget this guy speaking at John Kerry's Dem convention and he was promoted as the "next great candidate".
They are given a good grade, or a bad grade based on the effects of their work they've done and how it has effected the bottom line.
Today, how has Obama effected to Bottom Line?
